Physical distancing markers have been removed from the Rose & Crown Pub in the U.K. Pavilion at EPCOT and guests can once again sit inside. The pub is adjacent to but separate from the sit-down dining room. A Cast Member was greeting guests at the door. Hand sanitizer is still available upon entering. Previously, there were distancing markers surrounding the bar for each party to stand on while they drink. Guests can now stand wherever they want to order and […]

Review: A NEW $30 Drink Has Arrived at Wine Bar George in Disney World

We’ve said it before, Wine Bar George is the one Disney World restaurant that’s practically perfect according to just about everyone!

Wine Bar George

With dishes like crispy mac & cheese bites and Saganaki on Fire, there’s a lot to love here. But, recently we stopped by Wine Bar George to check out something NEW — their updated cocktail menu featuring some unique selections!

For reference, here’s a peek at what the Cocktails menu used to look like. This screenshot is from around August of 2020.

Wine Bar George Menu

And here’s a look at their updated cocktails menu!

You’ll notice a few of the older drinks have stuck around including The Hoot, American 75 (although now it notes its made with some sparking wine and lemon), and the Wake Up Call. The Wine Bar George Old Fashioned was also added to the menu last year (but not pictured in our original screenshot above) and has also stuck around.

But, a few NEW drinks have arrived including the Forbidden Zombie, Harvester, The Traveler, and more.

The Hoot

So, during our last trip to Wine Bar George, we decided to grab something old and something new (now we just need something borrowed and something blue!).

First up, the Wake Up Call. This is a returning cocktail. This drink is made with Espresso-infused Barsol Pisco and Caffe Borghetti Espresso Liqueur and it’s priced at $15.

Time For Your Wake Up Call!

It’s essentially a espresso martini, but for this particular version of the drink Wine Bar George uses Pisco which is an unaged brandy. This drink features coffee that’s brewed in-house, so that gives it a nice touch. They also have an espresso device where the Pisco slowly gets brought in from the top which is pretty neat.

This drink is DEFINITELY for coffee lovers though. We felt like it had a stronger coffee taste compared to your usual espresso martini. But, the taste itself is very smooth.

Check Out Those Coffee Beans on Top!

Next, we got one of the new drinks — the Forbidden Zombie. This drink is made with Ilegal Anejo Mezcal, Kasama Filipino Rum, Triple Sec, Domaine Canton Lime, and Cinnamon. There’s a limit of 2 per person with this drink. The Cast Member told us that limit was put in place because it is reportedly the strongest drink on their menu!

We thought this drink was delicious! The fruity and tangy flavors were wonderful, and overall it tasted really refreshing (especially nice for a hot Florida day).

Forbidden Zombie

You do taste that cinnamon in there though. It’s not overbearing, but if you absolutely hate cinnamon then you might want to skip on this one.

The biggest thing you should know about this drink though is its price. The Forbidden Zombie will set you back $30! The bartender told us that a big reason for that price tag is the quality of the alcohol that goes into the drink combined with its potency. So just keep that price tag in mind before you order this one.

Not a Cheap Drink!

If you’re looking to try some new drinks or you’re just a big fan of Wine Bar George, now you can stop by to check out their updated cocktails menu!

We’ll keep an eye out for more menu changes all over Disney World and let you know what we find.

PHOTOS: A Rare Disney Princess Is Now Greeting Guests in EPCOT!

Ever since the parks reopened, character experiences have been a bit unusual.

Character Cavalcade

Instead of parades, you’ll spot your Disney pals in cavalcadesmini-parades that run through each park. And instead of traditional meet-and-greets, they’re now waving at guests from a distance in various spots around Disney World. Today, we spotted a new physically distanced meet in EPCOT with a rare character!

Mulan is now greeting guests from the garden of the China Pavilion! You can’t get too close, but we were able to carry on a conversation with her from a distance.

Hey there Mulan!

Mulan has been seen in the princess cavalcades in both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, but hopefully, we’ll now get to see her in this spot more regularly. She’s met in EPCOT prior to the closure, so it’s nice to see her back!

The gardens over here are beautiful, but now there’s even more reason to visit.

Disney hasn’t released any information on when character meets will return to normal, so for now, we’ll continue to enjoy them from a safe distance.

Make sure to stop by and say hello!

Stay tuned to DFB for more updates from the parks and resorts. We’ve got all the Disney news you need to know before your next trip!

BREAKING: Mobile Ordering Discontinued At Almost All Universal Orlando Restaurants

mobile-order-universal4-8784339

This afternoon while pondering lunch in the park, we took to our Universal Orlando app to browse a few mobile ordering options. To our surprise, we noticed almost all options have now been removed. Volcano Bay now only allows mobile ordering for those who have rented a premium seating upgrade. There are now only two options that still provide mobile ordering, and both of these, Richter’s Burger Co. and Leaky Cauldron, are now displaying as “Table Delivery” in the app. […]
