Headed to Disney World next week?

Slinky Dog Dash

If you are, you might be wondering about what kind of weather you’ll see! Will you stay dry and sweaty? Or be running for cover from the rain? Let’s take a look at the weather forecast for next week in Disney World!

Weather Forecast

According to The Weather Channel, the week is going to be pretty warm and we won’t see any weird spikes or drops in temperature. But, there’s a GOOD chance we’ll see some rain!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

If last week was any indication, we have CERTAINLY entered the rainy season in Orlando. It rained pretty much every single day, so are we in for more stormy weather? It seems so. Take a look!

June 21st

Monday, June 21st will start the week with the lowest temperatures of the week — although that’s not saying much! This week will primarily hang out in the high 80s and low 90s so it will be toasty. Monday is going to max out at an 87-degree high and we’ll see 76 degrees at night.

Alright, we’re kicking it off with RAIN too. Monday has a whopping 74% chance of rain and those thunderstorms are likely going to be a fixture on your Disney day. Pack that rain layer!

June 22nd

The next day, June 22nd brings us a very similar forecast to the day before with a high of 87 degrees during the day and keeping that low down at the same comfy 76 degrees.

At least the thunderstorms lessen to “scattered.” Keep in mind you’ll see high humidity on Tuesday which can make it feel a little warmer than if you were dealing with dry heat.

June 23rd

On Wednesday, June 23rd, we’re going to see temps edge up just a little bit to 88 degrees during the day. Your low is going to edge down just a tad.

Rain is still a fixture here but you’ll notice we’re seeing pretty high UV Levels too. Make sure your skin and eyes are protected so you don’t end up with a nasty burn or other sun damage.

June 24th

For Thursday, June 24th, we’re seeing a day that is almost EXACTLY the same as the day before. Expect temps in the high-80s and a beautiful evening at 75 degrees.

One thing to note is that we get a lot of daylight here in Orlando. The sun rises around 6:30AM and sets around 8:30 PM so that’s 14 hours of sun!

June 25th

The week continues with another similar day (Honestly, we’re getting suspicious at how consistent these predictions are). We’ll see high-80s in the day and a mid 70s night on June 25th.

Keep in mind that these days that have rain in the forecast don’t necessarily guarantee you’ll see precipitation, but it is likely!

June 26th

Saturday, June 26th brings us warmer temps with a high in the low-90s. You could see some rain on Saturday too!

Here, we’ll see a 90-degree high and a 75-degree low.

June 27th

And we’ll wrap up our week on June 27th with still toasty temperatures and yet another day where you could see some rain.

It does look like the end of the week will at least afford us some rain-free evenings if we’re lucky!

Overview of the Week

Tips for Weathering the Weather!

We’ve got you covered with some tips to help you out with next week’s weather!

Prep for rain!

There is a LOT of rain in the forecast this week and we’ll tell ya from experience, it is not the most fun thing in the world to walk around Disney World soaking wet. Never fear though! There are a few things you can do to stay dry.

Rainy Day

Make sure you pack a rain layer and/or umbrella in your park bag. It’s important this is accessible in case the downpour is sudden! Plus, you might consider wearing shoes that won’t be uncomfy when wet. Remember with storms in the forecast, it’s best to ride outdoor attractions in the morning in case they close for weather.

Get ready for heat!

Rain can do a lot to cool down those temperatures, but rainy weeks also mean HIGH HUMIDITY. Your body might not be used to high temperatures with so much moisture in the air. Add the fact that you’re walking MILES each day, and you could find yourself sick from the heat.

Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Wear sunscreen and sunglasses and above all, STAY HYDRATED. A trip to First Aid is no fun and you might be able to avoid it by drinking a LOT more water than you normally do. Remember, you can find free water at many quick-service locations!
