If you’re heading to Disney World next week, you’ll want to be aware of some rides and attractions that are going to be closed!
We’ve got a list for ya to see what’s scheduled to be closed for refurbishment in the Disney Parks this coming week!
Like the last few weeks, the only park with scheduled refurbishments for this coming week is Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom
Hall of Presidents
In this magical park, there are a few attractions that won’t be available! First is the Hall of Presidents.
When they released the picture of the new animatronic, Disney announced that the Hall of Presidents would open sometime in August. As of writing, the attraction is still on the calendar for refurbishments through September, so we’re assuming it’s getting an early reopening date! Could this week be it?
We’ll keep our fingers crossed!
Walt Disney World Railroad
Also in Magic Kingdom, the Walt Disney World Railroad remains closed due to construction on the TRON ride in Tomorrowland that disrupted the train tracks.
We’ve seen a little progress on the updates coming to the Main Street, U.S.A., station when part of the covering came down last week!
The railroad will likely be down until TRON construction is completed, which could be a while!
Main Street Confectionery
Rounding out our list for the Magic Kingdom closures is the Main Street Confectionery, a sweet shop on Main Street, U.S.A. that’s getting updates to its interior!
The shop is scheduled to be closed at least through October 16th, so we’ll let you know if any more updates appear about its reopening timeline!
Next we’re taking a look at closures happening at Disney World hotels!
Disney World Resorts
At Disney’s Polynesian Resort, the Monorail station is still under construction so it will not be available to guests!
Instead, guests can use resort buses to get to and from the Magic Kingdom, and there are also boats and walkways available!
There’s a lot of construction going on at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, not far from the Polynesian! It’s getting updated guest rooms with a new Incredibles theme, and updates to the first floor lobby are underway as well! To check in or find the concierge, you’ll need to go to the second floor instead.
The Wave…of American Flavors is also closed for refurbishments right now. The Wave’s breakfast is still available, though! It’s just being served in the California Grill, which is located in the Contemporary Resort also.
That about sums up this week’s closures and refurbishments! Keep following DFB for more updates coming to the Disney World parks!
