Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is one of our favorite places to grab a drink in both Disney World and Disneyland!
They have fun-themed drinks like the Dagobah Slug Slinger and Yub Nub, and even a drink that will make your mouth go numb! Oga’s also has a few snacks on the menu that are…let’s just say, unusual for our planet! The Rodian Ration is an alcoholic sort of jello with boba balls inside (which makes them look like fish eggs, in our opinion). And then there’s the notorious Happabore Sampler. Think of it as a charcuterie and cheese board, but WEIRD!
They have the Happabore Sampler at both Disney World and Disneyland, and even though they have similar descriptions on the menus, they’re pretty different from each other! In Hollywood Studios, the Happabore Sampler has cured and roasted meats, cheese, and pork cracklings…
…and in Disneyland, the sampler has a selection of cured meats, artisan cheeses, rations, and crackers. Soooo….what’s the difference?
The sampler in Disneyland looks a little bit different since Oga’s reopened recently. The board has two kinds of cured pork, a cured beef, two kinds of cheese, rice crisps, and seasoned hummus with veggies.
The cheeses are both on the sharp side, similar to a cheddar. Overall, the sampler is a pretty classic presentation of a charcuterie board, it’s neat and organized.
And then there’s the Happabore Sampler in Disney World… .
It’s super chaotic! If you don’t like when your food touches, this is definitely not the snack for you!
The board has four different types of meats. These include Bresola Air-Cured Beef, Roasted SPAM, Roasted Mortadella, and Roasted Chorizo Sausage. There are also two cheeses, Pulled String Cheese and Burrata with black salt.
The string cheese is definitely an interesting choice here, but hey, at least they pre-pulled it for you!
The Disney World sampler kind of looks like the Disneyland sampler… if you mixed everything up and threw it on a plate! We aren’t the biggest fans, since it’s not very substantial and just bits and pieces of snacks.
One of the main differences is that the Disneyland sampler has hummus and veggies, whereas the Disney World sampler just seems to have a few peppers and onions sprinkled around the plate.
Both samplers are $21, so it’s a pretty pricey snack, but you can’t definitely share with others! However, the Disneyland sampler seems a little more substantial to us. It’s more straightforward and it’s easier to eat.
And the sampler in Disney World doesn’t really deliver, it just isn’t enough food for the price tag.
Both of the Happabore Samplers are not as scary as they appear, and you should definitely try them if you’re curious or want a small snack while you sip a fun cocktail in Oga’s! But, there are for sure better snack options in BOTH parks, like the charcuterie board at BaseLine Tap House in Hollywood Studios, or a coffee topped with Cocoa Puffs in Disneyland! Stay tuned to DFB to see any other weird snacks we find around the parks!
