A BIG factor in what you should bring on your trip is the weather, so we’re here to help. Let’s take a look at next week’s weather in Disney World so you know just how to prepare!

Weather Forecast

July is certainly hot, hot, HOT in Orlando and last week was no exception. It really does seem like it just keeps getting hotter in Disney World!

Animal Kingdom

Per News 6 WKMG, July 22nd was the hottest day of the whole year so far! Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like those heat trends are changing anytime soon.

According to The Weather Channel, it looks like we’ll be seeing some HIGH temperatures and afternoon showers! Let’s take a look at what’s in store for next week in Disney World!

July 26th

Monday, July 26th will start the week with some of those HOT temperatures we mentioned. Like the rest of the season so far, the weather is consistent from day to day with a few surprises. Monday is going to max out at a 90-degree high and we’ll see 76 degrees at night.

Yep, we’re into the 90s this week! These days are going to be SCORCHERS. Let’s just say you might actually be GLAD to see those isolated afternoon showers pass over the parks.

July 27th

The next day, July 27th brings us the exact same temperatures as the day before with a high of 90 degrees during the day and a low of 76 degrees.

Not only is the temperature high, but humidity is SUPER high too. That can make the day feel even hotter so we might be looking at real feels of over 100 degrees.

July 28th

On Wednesday, July 28th, we’re going to see temps hang out in about the same place at 90 degrees during the day and 76 degrees at night yet again.

Those UV Indexes are extreme for most of the week too. That means it’s time to lather up and reapply often. Those rays can be SUPER damaging to your skin, whether you typically burn or not.

July 29th

For Thursday, July 29th, we’re seeing ANOTHER similarly conditioned day. Expect temps in the 90s and a beautiful evening at 76 degrees.

As has been the case for weeks, scattered storms are a likelihood in the afternoon. Hey, that’s Florida summer for you! Keep a rain jacket on hand and ready so you don’t get caught uncomfortably drenched.

July 30th

And Friday brings us the HOTTEST day of the whole week! We’ll see low 90s in the day and a high 70s night on July 30th.

This might be the highest low we’ve seen thus far this summer. Remember, just cause the sun goes down doesn’t mean you get to stop drinking water and taking breaks as you need them!

July 31st

Saturday, July 31st brings us (Surprise!) what might be a completely rainless day! Woah, we didn’t see that one coming. Of course, all of these rain chances are subject to change (Florida is a fickle, fickle place.), so keep an eye on the forecast!

Here, we’ll see a 91-degree high and a 77-degree low.

August 1st

And we’ll wrap up our week on August 1st with about the same temperatures we’ve been seeing in this forecast and similar conditions. Get ready for high humidity and UV levels and afternoon showers.

Bonus! The days are still pretty long in July (even if they are getting a touch shorter). The sun rises around 6:45AM each day and sets around 8:15PM. That gives it plenty of time to get dark before fireworks!

Overview of the Week

Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week. We’re looking at a range of low 90s highs and mid to high 70s lows.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!

Aaaaaand we’ve got you covered with some tips to help you out with next week’s weather!

How to prep for heat!

Depending on where you’re traveling from, you might not be used to the heat of Florida or the high humidity. It can be a lot for the human body to deal with especially when you could be walking around 10 miles a day during your theme park days!

Free Water!

You could end up VERY sick if you don’t listen to what your body needs and prevent any overheating or overexposure. Wear sunscreen and sunglasses, take breaks when you need to, and STAY HYDRATED. Trust us, stopping for a cup of H20 and some AC is a small price to pay in comparison to losing out on part of your vacation because the heat made you sick!

Be prepared for the rain!

Rain might be a bit of a blessing when you’re dealing with those HOT days, but it’s still not comfortable to be soaking wet. Make sure your park bag comes stocked with a rain layer! If the skies do open up, you’ll be happy that you did.

Storm Clouds!

Plus, afternoon storms in Orlando typically mean LIGHTNING — and lightning could close your favorite ride. If you’re planning to ride the Skyliner or hop aboard an outdoor attraction in the afternoon, make sure those plans are flexible.
