Here at DFB, we like to put your Disney knowledge to the test every once in a while!
We’ve posted some tricky questions about Magic Kingdom attractions, searched for the biggest Disney movie fans with some tough trivia questions, and now we’re playing a round of the Price is Right from EPCOT’s World Showcase! We posted some popular (and obscure) Disney merchandise and snacks on our DFB Instagram stories to see if YOU really know how much they would cost ya. So, do you think you know the answers? Well, it’s time to find out!
Our first stop around World Showcase was Japan! We always enjoy taking a pit stop in the Mitsukoshi Department Store because you can find tons of unique items that don’t 100% scream “I bought this at Disney World!” And, one of the items you can find inside is this fun-looking cat souvenir. But, it looks like it costs more than most of our readers thought — only 34% of voters knew that it is priced at $39.95 with most answering $24.50.
We stayed in Japan for this next one and wanted to see if you could guess the price of the Tom Nook Animal Crossing Pillow. And, this one must have been a bit easier because 39% of our readers got it right — it’s $44.95!
We’re headed on over to the Canada Pavilion for this next one and stopping at Le Cellier Steakhouse to see if you know how much it costs to EAT a candle (seriously!). The Beef Fat Candle is currently served as part of the Artisan Cheese and Charcuterie Plate and yeah, it’s good. The price on this one was a toughie though and only 19% (!!) of voters knew that it cost $21 with the majority thinking that the answer was $32.
It turns out Japan isn’t the only pavilion with some eclectic merchandise — you can also get a Beer Stein at the gift shop in the Germany Pavilion. And, how much will it cost you? A whopping $135 (which 25% of our readers knew)! This one proved to be a harder question, with the most popular answer being $89.99.
It’s about time for a snack break, right? Oasis Sweets & Sips is a small pastry shop in the Morocco Pavilion and we wanted to know how much you thought it cost to try the GORGEOUS Mosaic Cookie With Apricot Jam! And, this one was REALLY hard because not many people know that you can find snacks in Disney World for only $2.50.
Only 1% of readers got this one right, with $6.99, $5.49, and $4.29 all receiving a lot of the votes.
We’ve landed on the most expensive item we asked you about in our Price is Right game — the hand-painted Venetian Carnival Masks in Italy! These can be found inside La Gemma Elegante and they come in all different designs, shapes, and sizes. And, yes some of them really DO cost $300, which 38% of our readers knew!
Next up was a stop was over to the France Pavilion, to see if you remembered how much the new Remy Ratatouille’s Adventure Ears are! And, the majority of our readers got this one right with 65% voting $29.99 (which is the right answer).
Okay, time for another stop for a treat (is anyone surprised?). Kringla Bakeri og Kafe is over in the Norway Pavilion and here you can find the School Bread topped with Olaf from Disney’s Frozen. And, it looks like most of our readers thought that you’d be paying a premium for the Disney Character-topped treat because the majority guessed that it cost $6.50 and only 25% knew that it costs $4.49.
We’ve made it all the way around World Showcase to our final stop on our Price is Right journey — China! On particularly warm Florida days, you might find yourself stopping into one of the shops here to grab a Folding Fan and it will cost you $10. And, if you knew that then you’re part of only 6% of our readers who got this right!
So, how did you do? Would you have won the car if we were doing this on the Price is Right? Let us know in the comments! And stay tuned to our Instagram stories for plenty more fun trivia in the future!
