We may be seeing record high temperatures across the country but as we know it is NEVER too early to start talking about Halloween and the spooktacular fun we are going to have this Fall.
Well, we’ve got a LOT to talk about today with all the AH-MAZ-ING Halloween news that Disneyland just dropped. With the uncertainty of the past year, we weren’t sure what events would be returning, but now we have a FULL UPDATE for what to expect for Halloween Time in Disneyland!
Halloween Time will kick off in Disneyland on September 3rd and run through October 31st with LOTS of ways to celebrate (like PLENTY of seasonal treats, YAY!).
Disneyland Park
Of course, there will be plenty of Halloween fun in Disneyland Park. Decor like Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lanterns and the Main Street Pumpkin Festival will return plus you’ll spot your favorite character pals in their spooky bests.
Oh, and get ready for the CONFIRMED return of Haunted Mansion Holiday. Yep, Jack Skellington and the gang are BACK.
Possibly even MORE exciting: Every night for the whole celebration, you can spot Halloween Screams, a supernatural projection, and special effects show on Sleeping Beauty Castle.
On the weekends, the show will feature fireworks too!
Disney California Adventure
And guess what!? OOGIE BOOGIE BASH is coming back too! Get ready to party hard with Oogie Boogie and more villainous pals on select nights starting September 9th. There’ll be trick-or-treating, immersive treat trails, the Frightfully Fun Parade, Villains Grove, Mickey’s Trick & Treat show, and more.
Of course, there’s some fun to be had OUTSIDE of the bash too. Attractions and lands will feature spooky makeovers turning Radiator Springs into Radiator Screams (where the cars get in on the “Haul-O-Ween” fun), Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and Luigi’s Rolickin’ Roadsters into Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
And there’s another fan-favorite attraction overlay returning with Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark coming back to Mission: BREAKOUT! We can’t wait for the thrills.
Similar to Disneyland, Mickey Mouse and friends will be about in Halloween costumes and some seasonal decor will be in place as well — like a 10-foot-tall statue of the Headless Horseman.
The Plaza de la Familia will ALSO be returning to Disney California Adventure from September 3rd through November 2nd for a celebration inspired by Dia de los Muertos.
Get ready to watch A Musical Celebration of Coco and Mariachi music, visit The World of Coco exhibit, snap a pic with photo ops, and more.
Downtown Disney
Downtown Disney will hop in on the fun too with Halloween decorations, a bunch of seasonal treats, and an all-new pumpkin hunt — Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit.
As you can see, Halloween seems to be returning full swing this Fall in Disneyland! As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney updates!
