There are SO many new things coming to Disney World this year for its big 50th anniversary!
We’re getting a new fireworks show and character cavalcade in Magic Kingdom, a new daytime show in Animal Kingdom, and golden character statues throughout the parks! We also will FINALLY see the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and the expansion of the France Pavilion in EPCOT! With the expansion comes a brand new restaurant featuring some famous French food, and we’re here to tell you why you should be excited about the opening!
La Crêperie de Paris will open in EPCOT’s France pavilion on October 1st, 2021, AKA Disney World’s 50th anniversary AKA the BIGGEST day of the year for the parks!
As you may have figured out by the name, the restaurant’s main focus will be crêpes! We do not know the official menu yet, but we do know that it’s being created by celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse. Disney has said the menu will take inspiration from the Brittany region of France, which is in the northwestern part of the country.
Sweet crêpes and savory galettes will be on the menu. Galettes are similar crêpes, but are usually made with buckwheat flour and filled with savory foods like meat and cheese. Crêpes are thinner, made with wheat flour, and are usually filled with sweet things like fruit and Nutella. Crêpes for dinner and dessert? Sign us up, please!
The restaurant will have table service AND quick service options, which is so exciting! This hopefully means that more people will get to experience the new restaurant when it opens since there are two ways to order food. We’ve already seen what the quick service windows look like, but we can’t WAIT to see the inside of this place!
Being able to sit down in the air conditioning and order a crêpe from your table is a delightful upgrade from the small crêpe stand in the front of the pavilion. Eating from a quick service spot works if you want a fast meal, but this new table service option is going to be a great change of pace if you want to relax a little during your park day. We can finally have our crêpe and eat it too!
A FULL restaurant of these iconic French pancakes is an awesome expansion for the pavilion! We’ve been watching construction on the restaurant for what feels like forever, and now the opening is just a few months away!
This place has a lot of things working in its favor! It’s opening the same day as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in a brand new expansion of the already gorgeous France pavilion, it has two ways to dine, has a menu created by a celebrity chef, and will have crêpes for both entrées and dessert. Yeah, we CAN’T WAIT! We’ll be sure to check out La Crêperie de Paris on opening day and give you a full review, so stay tuned to DFB for more updates on October 1st!
