The iconic “Partners” statue in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom is being refurbished ahead of the park’s 50th anniversary. The statue features Walt Disney holding Mickey Mouse’s hand and greeting guests as they enter the park. A nearby sign explains the process of removing oxidation buildup from the statue’s bronze and reapplying a patina. The Disneyland version of “Partners” was restored last year.
