The new Jungle Cruise movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt officially comes out tomorrow in theaters and with premier access on Disney+!
To celebrate the occasion, one Disney World restaurant is adding several new items to their menu, each with a Jungle Cruise theme!
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs is themed after the character in Disney’s Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Arc movie! They serve up snacks and appetizers along with a wide array of adventure-themed cocktails!
The bar is all about adventures and exploration, so it’s no wonder they’re joining the Jungle Cruise celebration with new dishes and cocktails! We couldn’t resist heading down to try out what’s new!
First, Jock Lindsey is serving up three new cocktails!
On the food side of the menu, Jock Lindsey added the “Everyone DUCK!” Flatbread and the “Forbidden Eye Potato Skins”!
First up, we tried the Feeding Frenzy for $15. This drink is a combo of Herradura Blanco Tequila, Malibu Coconut Rum, Bols Blue Curaçao, Sweet-and-Sour, and Pineapple Juice topped with Candy Fish, Pineapple Salsa, and Grenadine.
The presentation on this drink was so fun because it really does look a bit like a feeding frenzy occurred in your drink! It’s well-themed to the Jungle Cruise and VERY sweet. If you like tropical, sweeeeeet drinks, this one might be for you!
Next, we gave the Huallaga Hibiscus a sip for $15. Expect flavors of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Lime Juice, Pure Cane Sugar, Mint, Soda Water, and Hibiscus.
The Huallaga Hibiscus was probably the most refreshing. It was a lot like a really great vodka soda but with a beautiful presentation. We loved the hints of mint and elderberry! We have to say, this one is probably going to be pretty popular because it’s so Instagrammable!
And our final drink was the Sleeping Zebra for $13! This one is Baileys Irish Cream, RumChata Liqueur, Stoli Vanil Vodka, and Half & Half finished with Chocolate Sauce. Pretty classic!
This one seemed a bit like a Christmas drink because of the RumChata but we still liked it a lot! It was light and cold but you DO have to drink it fast since it’s a milky cocktail in the middle of summer. Be warned: The chocolate does sink to the bottom, so give it a stir if you want it better mixed.
Now, onto the EATS! The “Everyone DUCK!” Flatbread is available for $9.
This small plate option is a Flatbread topped with Duck Confit, Goat Cheese, Roasted Red Pepper Coulis, and Kalamata Olives.
This flatbread was DELICIOUS. The base is an olive oil and herb flatbread that goes SO well with the generous amount of goat cheese. We absolutely loved the peppers and olives on top because they made it a more unique bite.
It’s not a huge portion so this is definitely more of a small meal, appetizer, or one-of-many-items order, but it’s so good!
And FINALLY, get ready for the “Forbidden Eye’ Brazilian-style Skins for $12.
This eat is Potato Skins with Smoked Sausage, Couve, Sweet Potato, Four-Cheese Blend, and Quail Egg.
This is a really fun dish! We loved the light collard greens as they helped to bring a great saltiness to the overall dish. The potatoes were very crispy and the cheese blend was nice. We might wish it was a bit gooier but it was still a great amount of cheese! Add that runny quail egg on top and we’d definitely order this portion again!
All of these new additions are available now through August 30th of this year! Make sure to land (or crash land) at Jock Lindsey’s sometime soon so you can give the Jungle Cruise items a try before they’re gone!
