REVIEW: The Back Side of Water (!!) Jungle Cruise Treat Has Finally Arrived in Disney World

The Jungle Cruise has been receiving a huuuuge transformation in both Disney World and Disneyland.

New characters!

While Disneyland’s ride has reopened with its new features, Disney World’s has been gradually receiving updates while remaining open. The renovation in Disney World should be done sometime this summer according to Disney, and we’ve already seen a bunch of new updates! There’s also a Jungle Cruise live-action movie coming out on July 30th, so it makes sense that there’s a NEW themed treat in Magic Kingdom!

This is the Back Side of Water at Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland! We spotted this on menus a little over a week ago, and now it has arrived!!!

It’s the Back Side of Water!

The sweet treat is made with Cotton Candy and Vanilla Soft-serve, Sprite, and a Sour Belt for $6.29.

Back Side of Water Treat

It’s themed to the 8th wonder of the world you see every time you ride the Jungle Cruise! We thought this was the perfect treat for someone with a big sweet tooth! The Sprite is on the bottom with Vanilla and Cotton Candy swirled Ice Cream layered on top. To get the perfect combination of flavors, we mixed it all together!

A close-up of the new treat

The Cotton Candy flavor is strong in the ice cream, and the candy on top is yummy, but pretty much a normal sour belt candy. Even when you mix the Ice Cream into the Sprite, you can still get a bubbly texture, like in a Root Beer Float but with Sprite instead, of course! You can order this treat at the window or use Mobile Order to get it!

Disneyland got their own Jungle Cruise treat recently, too — the Pineapple Split Dole Whip Sundae with a Jungle Cruise boat!

This is AWESOME.

Ours in Disney World didn’t come with a boat, but it was still pretty fun! We’re so excited for Jungle Cruise to finally be complete AND for the new live-action movie! Until then, we’ll be on the lookout for other Jungle Cruise celebrations! Stay tuned to DFB for news and updates.
