Disney World has been adding a lot of new delicious desserts for the summer!
And many of those treats are from the Flavors of Florida event at Disney Springs! We’ve seen things like watermelon dole whip, key lime cookies, and an orange cream float. Today is the first day of the event, so of course, we headed over to Disney Springs to try everything we could get our hands on! If you’re looking for an over-the-top dessert, you’re going to want to see one of the items we found!
This is the Key Lime Cheesecake Shake from Vivoli il Gelato!
It’s a cheesecake gelato blended with Key lime juice and chunks of Key lime pie, topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce, graham cracker crumbs, and a small piece of cake (casual)!
This baby costs $18.75, so let’s see if the shake is worth its price tag!

The milkshake is very tart from the Key lime juice! The caramel sauce does add a little sweetness, but we could’ve used a bit more to balance out the sour lime flavor.
Mixing in the whipped cream helped tone down the tartness, so we definitely recommend doing that if you don’t want the shake to be too sour! The graham crackers also added a nice texture to the drink.
The cake on top was a super light, moist vanilla cake with a Key lime layer and a cheesecake layer in between the three layers of vanilla cake. It was topped with a lime mirror glaze icing and a white chocolate lime decoration!
Let’s take a look at that cross-section!
If you love Key lime pie, this shake is for you! But if you don’t or you’re on the fence, choose a different dessert because this is basically a liquid version of the pie. Also, if you’re not a fan of cheesecake flavor, stay away from this treat!
Overall, we think this is a yummy summer shake and a great representation of the iconic Florida dessert, but almost $20 for a milkshake is a little bit overwhelming! Although, you are getting a piece of cake and a milkshake, so it could be viewed as two desserts.
It’s worth it if you LOVE Key lime pie, but do not spend your money on this if you’re not sure you’ll like it! If you want to taste another item at Vivoli for Flavors of Florida, check out the Lemon Blueberry Cookie Sandwich. Stay tuned to DFB for more food reviews from from the event!
