Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto has reopened! This spot at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort serves up whimsical cocktails and is full of the same classic hijinks as Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel!

Today, the Polynesian officially reopened to guests with a special Dole Whip, surprise reopenings (with loooong virtual wait times), and we got a first look in person of the Moana-themed rooms! While at the reopening of Trader Sam’s today, we found some super fun drinks that you’ll want to know about!
There are THREE secret menu drinks! Of course, we stopped by and grabbed all three! We grabbed these at Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace (the outdoor area with many of the same drinks as Grog Grotto), but you should be able to grab them at either location.

First, we found the Grunts Grog with Gin, Lemon Juice, Bitters, and Orgeat Syrup for $11. This was our favorite of the three! If you love gin, you’ll really enjoy this one. The lemon juice added a great freshness and zest to it!

The next drink we tried was The Heart of Polynesia with Coruba, Bacardi, Blue Curaçao, Cream of Banana, Orange, and Pineapple for $15. If you’re a fan of Moana, you might notice the drink’s color: it’s very similar to the green Heart of Te Fiti! This one was really really sweet! The pineapple and coconut flavors were really strong, but if you have a big sweet tooth this might be up your alley.

The final drink we found was the Shipwrecked on D Rock with Maker’s Mark, Lemon Juice, Mint, and Agave for $14. This drink was really refreshing! The Maker’s Mark really stands out but the lemon and mint make this drink a refreshing treat!

These aren’t the only secret menu items around the Disney parks! In the past, we’ve seen secret drinks like the Cretaceous Cooler at Restaurantosaurus! Secret menus are just another way Disney adds a little extra magic to the parks!
