The Disney Dining Plan Change You Totally Forgot About!

While many Disney World staples are reopening and returning around the parks, there are still a few things that remain a mystery!

Cinderella Castle

We know that Trail’s End Restaurant at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness is reopening, but we still haven’t heard anything about the beloved Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. There’s no word on if or when FastPass+ is coming back, and we’re still unsure if parades are returning, as it’s looking like cavalcades are here to stay for a while. One of the big things Disney hasn’t brought back yet is the Disney Dining Plan, but recently they announced that it WILL be returning! So, we wanted to remind you of a change to the plan that happened RIGHT before the closures that you may have forgotten about!

At the end of February 2020, Disney announced a new dining plan option for guests: the Disney Dining Plan Plus.

Skipper Canteen

The plan’s main difference from the Quick Service and Standard Disney Dining Plans is that guests get two meals per night of stay and can dine at any combination of Quick Service and Table Service locations.

Dining Room

Table Service meals include one table service entrée, dessert (lunch and dinner only), OR full buffet (note that there are currently no buffets in Disney World). Quick Service meals include one quick service meal, including entrée OR combo meal.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Guests under 21 can also get one non-alcohol beverage with their meals and guests over 21 can either get one non-alcoholic beverage OR one single serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine with their meal. You also get two snacks or non-alcoholic drinks per night of stay and one resort refillable drink mug per person, per package.

Refillable Mug

The cost of the plan before the closures was $94.61 per night for ages 10 and up and $35.01 per night for ages 3 to 9.

The Disney Dining Plan Plus is the most flexible plan because you can use the meals and snacks in any order you want and at any time.

Disney has not announced when the Disney Dining Plan will be returning or what plans will be offered, but we wanted to remind you of this plan since it was probably easy to forget amid all the news of the closures! As soon as we get more info on the return of the dining plan, we’ll let you know, so stay tuned to DFB!
