Welcome back, DFB friends!

We’re constantly visiting the Disney World theme parks to see what’s new, what’s reopened, and what other cool things you can find at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Today, we’re taking a look at what’s new in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! And we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!

Hollywood Studios Food Updates

Kat Saka’s Kettle

If you’ve been missing space popcorn, then you’ll be thrilled to know that Kat Saka’s Kettle has officially reopened! The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge snack spot has been quiet since the parks closed last year, but now you can find the Cast Members at this spot happily saying “bright suns” to everyone once again!

The menu is on the short side. Here, you’ll find the Thermal Detonator Coke Bottles and water…

…as well as the Buttered Blue Grains popcorn snack. At the moment, the Buttered Blue Grain is the only popcorn option at the stand and is available for $6.49. Yes, the famous sweet and savory Outpost Mix has disappeared to a galaxy far, far away for the time being.

But, we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for additional flavors and treats and other updates at Kat Saka’s!

Hollywood Studios Merchandise Updates

Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities

The mysterious Darksaber has been an intriguing item to fans ever since it made a name for itself on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian. It then made its way all the way to Disneyland, Disney World, and shopDisney, only to sell out SUPER fast! But, we’ve got some good news — the Darksaber has returned to Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities!

Similar to last time, though, you’re going to want to move quickly and snag it before it sells out again! The Darksaber is priced at $199.99.

We’ll keep an eye out for more cool Star Wars items in Galaxy’s Edge!

We couldn’t help but love the adorable mug featuring Lady (from Lady and the Tramp) snoozing away that we spotted recently in the parks. And, now you can match with your morning coffee mug by wearing the matching shirt! This Tee featuring a very sleepy Lady has the same peach-colored design with the “If You Love Me, Let Me Sleep” tagline across the pocket. You can grab it for $36.99.

Mother’s Day may be over for this year, but you can let your mom know just how special she is all year round with some fun Disney merch. The Mom Ear Hat Pandora Charm is an extra special gift to give. This item has been around for a little bit, but we just wanted to share it with you here to note that it’s still available for you to grab in the parks.

It’s got pink jewels, a red Minnie bow, and a rose gold-tone finish. You can grab it in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for $75. You can also snag it on shopDisney right now without having to leave your couch!

While we’ve seen the Haunted Mansion Backpack in other parks, it’s taken a Doom Buggy over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to have a resting place in Keystone Clothiers!

Celebrity 5 & 10

Before you head to the parks for the day or while you’re just chilling at home, you can add some magic to your morning with TWO new mugs on the shelves! The Disney Princess Mug (which we’ve seen before in Disneyland) features our favorites like Belle, Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Aurora…

…while The Little Mermaid Mug shows off the romantic scene from “Kiss the Girl!”

Hollywood Studios Entertainment Updates

Millennium Falcon and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Now that single rider has reopened at both the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, we decided to compare how the single rider and standby lines stacked up to one another! In our experience, we found that many groups who entered the single rider line on both rides were able to ride together. However, this is not always the case and can’t usually be expected.

Since Smugglers Run does load six guests in each party instead of two in a row, we found that there was a pretty stark difference between the single rider and standby lines. Compared to the regular 90 minute wait, we only had to wait 15 minutes in the single rider queue before boarding the ride!

On the other hand, single rider on Rock ‘N Roller Coaster took a LOT longer. Originally when we entered the single rider line, the standby was noted to be a 70 minute wait. However, it took us a whole 79 minutes to get through the single rider line.

Depending on the day and the crowds, single rider may not be worth it as they lines aren’t guaranteed to be faster than the standby queues. Be sure to check how long the single rider line is and how fast it is moving to have some idea whether it’s worth the wait during your visit!

Characters and Cavalcades

All sorts of friends were out and about in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we were so happy to wave to our best pals! We spotted some members of the gang from Toy Story waltzing through the park…

…along with the Incredibles…

…Edna, and Sulley during the Pixar Cavalcade!

Mickey and Minnie were also happy to see everyone on Sunset Boulevard…

…while Goofy was casting a line during a fishing adventure!

You’ve got to keep your eyes open for fun character interactions throughout the park!

Sunset Boulevard

As we were making our way down Sunset Boulevard, we also noticed a media crew taking photos and filming videos for something special!

We’ll be sure to keep an eye and ear out for any news as to what this was for!

We’ll keep you updated as to any other information we learn about this.

Parking Lot

As we were exiting the park for the day, we noticed that the Black Widow Billboard had been switched out for the Jungle Cruise billboard ahead of the movie’s premiere on July 30th!
