What’s New in Disneyland Resort: Banana Popcorn and a Reimagined Jungle Cruise Opens!

Welcome back to another weekly update from the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland! The Anaheim resort is set to celebrate it’s 66th Anniversary this weekend, and a LOT has been going on in the parks!

Disneyland

Let’s get caught up on what’s new at Disneyland, including tons of food updates!

Disneyland Park Food Updates

The Tropical Hideaway

The newest snack to arrive at the Disneyland Resort is a food/merchandise combo! To celebrate the reopening of Jungle Cruise, guests can dig into the new Pineapple Split DOLE Whip Sundae!

Oh My Goodness. We Gotta Get It

The sundae includes 2 spears of pineapple, 2 small swirls of DOLE Whip, blueberries and strawberries, coconut flakes, banana chips, and gummy butterflies.

So Good!

The best part? It comes with a souvenir Jungle Cruise BOAT!

We’ll Take 1,000 Please

You can grab one while supplies last at The Tropical Hideaway for $24.99!

Kat Saka’s Kettle

Kat Saka’s Kettle reopened this week at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with a NEW popcorn flavor!

MSE-6 Droid Popcorn Bucket

Kat Saka’s is known for their unique popcorn flavors (one of our long-time favorites being their Chocolate Popcorn), but this week we tried Batuu Wilds Banana Popped Grains, a.k.a. their new BANANA flavor!

Time for Some Popcorn!

And ya know what? It wasn’t that bad! The banana flavor came in as a bit of an aftertaste, giving this traditionally salty snack a nice sweet balance! Try it for yourself at Kat Saka’s Kettle for $6.49.

Pooh Corner

Finally, we spotted a limited-time Anniversary Caramel Apple at Pooh Corner in Critter Country!

Look at them all!

This adorably dapper Apple is dipped in Caramel along with Milk, Dark, AND White Chocolate with Blue Sugar, a White Chocolate Bow Tie, Yellow M&M’s, and Marshmallow Ears.

Definitely a treat you need to split with a friend!

It’s SUPER sweet, even sweeter than most Disneyland Apples we’ve had in the past! Be ready to share this one with a friend for $12.99 if you’re visiting this weekend during Disneyland’s Anniversary!

Pretzel Carts

Our final food update from Disneyland Park can be found at outdoor Pretzel Carts in Frontierland and Fantasyland! We snacked on the Jalapeño Pretzel at the Frontierland Pretzel Cart across from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Jalapeño Pretzel

We didn’t taste much spice from the jalapeño, so if you’re looking for a little heat, you may be disappointed — but if all you care about is the CHEESE, this will be a great snack option on your next trip to Disneyland. It’s available for $6!

Disneyland Resort General Updates

Jungle Cruise officially reopened on July 16th, but we were able to get a sneak peek of the reimagined attraction a little early!

Anyone Up for a Trip to the Jungle?

The attraction opened up for the first time since the closures began last year, including some new scenes!

What Kind of Trouble Are They Getting Up To?

This is also the first time guests can get a look at the new addition of Trader Sam’s Gift Shop (we also spotted the Gift Shop open for business at Disney World)!

Trader Sam’s Gift Shop

The attraction is still being reimagined at Disney World, so if you want to take a look at the completed version, head over to Disneyland!
