Disney Cruise Line Updates Itineraries For Cruises to the Bahamas

After a long hiatus, cruises have started to set sail from the U.S. again.

This includes cruises from Disney Cruise Line, which now has specific COVID-19 testing requirements prior to cruising and mask mandates. Recently, the Bahamas passed a new Emergency Powers that states all cruise ships on passenger voyages will not be allowed to enter a port in the Bahamas unless certain requirements are met. Now, there has been an update for Disney Cruise Line sailings to the Bahamas.

Following the Emergency Powers from the Bahamas, Disney Cruise Line now requires guests ages 12 and up to be vaccinated on upcoming sailings to the Bahamas from September 3rd until November 1st must be fully vaccinated in order to board the ship. The latest update, however, shows that itineraries for cruises to the Bahamas have been modified temporarily.

For the time being, the Disney Dream will only be stopping at Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay. The ship will not be making any stops in Nassau until further notice.

For guests on a 3-night cruise to the Bahamas, the ship will stop at Castaway Cay once. Guests on a 4-night cruise to the Bahamas will currently make two stops at Disney’s private island.
