Disney has been known to be a socially conscious company.
Most recently, Disney dropped gender-specific pronouns from its pre-fireworks announcements. The company also embraces Pride Month (and releases a TON of rainbow merchandise AND snacks in honor of it). Now, Disneyland has embraced diversity with mannequins!
How you may ask? Well, Disneyland has just debuted brand new mannequins in a variety of skin tones. These mannequins can currently be seen at World of Disney at Downtown Disney, but it’s likely they’ll turn up throughout the rest of the resort, too.
According to the Instagram of Disneyland Cast and Community, “this is just the beginning,” so we’ll be on the lookout for more diverse mannequins throughout Disney Parks. And we’ll let you know when we spot them.
