My 5 Favorite Walt Disney World Snacks

People frequently ask me how I survive long park days and the answer is always snacks – and water – but mainly snacks. Disney is known to have some great snacks (along with a selection of basic snacks) that can be found anywhere, but it’s Disney, so it’s different. Disney goers will often tell you that you need to have the Mickey premium bar no matter what and I can agree with that, but that can’t be the only snack you have. I am a huge sweets fan, so most of these snacks will be on the sweeter side, but I do have some savory favorites as well.

First stop, Magic Kingdom. I find myself never knowing what to eat when I am here because I don’t have a favorite place to eat in the park. With that being said, I do have a go-to snack when I am in the Magic Kingdom, and that is the Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel from the Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland. This snack is perfect for those few chilly days that we get here in Central Florida, which isn’t very often. This is the perfect snack to eat while sitting on the hub grass and enjoying the view of Cinderella Castle.

Next up we have Epcot, a park that’s filled with many different snacks from which to choose. My go-to pavilion for basically anything is the France pavilion. This pavilion has so much to offer from great treats, diverse merchandise, and a fun Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. At the back of the pavilion, there is an ice cream shop called L’Artisan des Glaces and they have the best ice cream sandwich ever. The Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich is one of my all-time favorite snacks, especially on a hot summer day. You can choose between chocolate or a seasonal macaron flavor. My order is the chocolate macaron sandwich just because I love chocolate but the seasonal option always looks good, too.

I barely eat at Disney’s Hollywood Studios but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a go-to snack for the park. I really enjoy the tarts from Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land, especially the ones they have during the holiday season. For Halloween, they have a chocolate-hazelnut-filled tart that is frosted with vanilla icing along with Halloween sprinkles and candy corn. During Christmas, they have an apple cinnamon tart which is my absolute favorite one.

Animal Kingdom is where the savory part of my snack heart lives. Although I do love all of their seasonal cupcakes, the Baked Mac and Cheese from Eight Spoon Cafe has my heart. This cart isn’t always open, though, so the next best thing is the Mac and Cheese over at Flame Tree Barbecue that is covered in pulled pork. The Eight Spoon Cafe is currently open from 10:30am to 5pm each day at the Animal Kingdom, so that’s enough time to snag a Baked Mac and Cheese.

Now this isn’t a snacks article unless I mention Disney Springs because at Disney Springs there are snacks on every corner. One of my favorite snack locations at Disney Springs is The Daily Poutine. At The Daily Poutine, the servings are fairly big, so this is a good snack to share or you can even make this meal. This location has so many different types of poutine and they have seasonal offerings as well. I have shared the poutine with up to three people before, so that can give you an idea of the serving sizes they offer, but I have also eaten one of these on my own as a lunch.

These are just a few of my favorite snacks that make the top of my list. Disney offers many different types of snacks, so I recommend being adventurous and trying different items. I also recommend trying anything that is labeled a “seasonal snack” because those tend to be really good and you never know if they will be brought back next year.

One of the best parts of Walt Disney World is snacking and making memories with those snacks because sometimes the best memories are made when eating with people you love.
