Scaffolding continues to be erected on Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom as the “mountain” is refurbished for the park’s 50th anniversary. The scaffolding now mostly covers the mountainous façade next to the mill. Though this seems to be a general refurbishment and not the beginnings of the ride’s “Princess and the Frog” retheme, we have learned new details about the Princess Tiana attraction.
