Review: Hollywood Studios’ New Halloween Treat Is Missing Something Very Important

It’s HALLOWEEN in Disney World, people!!!

Halloween Has Arrived!

Yep, spooky season is here, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! Halloween merchandise has arrived in Magic Kingdom, Main Street, U.S.A. is filled with festive pumpkins, and BOO Bash starts tonight!! Yesterday, we got the FULL list of Halloween eats that will be around Disney World this season, and many of the treats came out TODAY, including a bewitching dessert over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Say hello to the Witch’s Hat Mousse!

Witch’s Hat Mousse

You’ll find this treat over at Rosie’s All-American Cafe on Sunset Boulevard. It is made of whipped blackberry panna cotta sitting on green apple mousse with salted caramel crispy pearls and a chocolate shortbread cookie. For whatever reason, our treat didn’t come with those salted caramel crispy pearls, so that’s something to just keep in mind.

Witch’s Hit Mousse

First thing’s first — those colors are vibrant and super fun! The treat is definitely cute, but it’s small, melts very fast, and is MESSY!

Unfortunately, though this treat was missing something very important…a strong flavor. We didn’t really get a lot of flavor at all from the mousse or the panna cotta. It was alright, but we just really didn’t taste a lot of the flavors that were described for this snack. Out of all the flavors, the green apple mousse was the one we could taste the most, but even so it was very light.

So Cute! But the Flavors Were Seriously Lacking

We were really looking forward to that blackberry panna cotta, but unfortunately the treat as a whole was pretty disappointing. It just didn’t deliver in the flavor department.

In fact, our DFB reporter who tried the treat said that they think most people will be a little dissatisfied with it. In our opinion at least, there are other Halloween snacks out there that can provide you with better and stronger flavors to really make your taste buds sing. You can click here to see our reviews of all the Halloween and fall treats in Disney World to see which ones you might want to try.

Witch’s Hat Mousse

The Witch’s Hat Mousse is $5.49 and is available now through October 31st. If you want to grab it and try it yourself, you can check it out at Rosie’s All-American Cafe. Or you can opt for some other spooky treats this season. We’ll continue to check out the seasonal offerings in Disney World and let you know all of our thoughts. Stay tuned for more!
