REVIEW: Is This Reopened Snack Spot at Disney World Just Another Version of PizzeRizzo?

Disney World has been reopening quite a few restaurants lately.

Catalina Eddie’s

Counter service restaurants like Pizzafari and Columbia Harbour House are reopening soon, and today another Disney World quick-service restaurant opened!

Catalina Eddie’s in Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopened today!

It’s back!

This counter service restaurant serves quick eats like pizza, salad, breadsticks, and a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and not. This quick-service spot is also on Mobile Order now!

Menu

Catalina Eddie’s is located on Sunset Boulevard, so it’s not far from Tower of Terror or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Today we tried a little bit of everything.

The spread

The Pepperoni Pizza is a personal pizza with four slices that also comes with a small side Caesar Salad for $10.49. With the salad, this feels like a good portion size for an adult meal or even something that kids could share.

It reminded us of the PizzeRizzo pizza — which means it’s a decent meal to have in a pinch or you’re just wanting to grab something fast and that’s where you just happen to be in the park.

It’s pizza

The Caesar Salad with Chicken is made with Heart of Romaine tossed with Croutons, Parmesan Cheese and tangy Caesar Dressing topped with Herb-marinated Chicken Breast. It’s $9.99. The salad is also a good portion size and we were surprised that it had quite a bit of chicken in it, although we didn’t taste that herb-marinated flavor.

Caesar Salad with Chicken

The dressing, although tangy, didn’t overpower the salad, and we loved that there were plenty of croutons and parmesan cheese. If you’re looking for a simple salad that could easily feed two people at Disney World, it’s a good option.

Lots of croutons and CHEESE

The Breadsticks are $4.99 and come with a side of Marinara Sauce for dipping. You get a total of four breadsticks. And they’re…well…fine. We wished there was more seasoning on them, although we did really enjoy the bites where the seasoning was.

Breadsticks

We think the Marinara is a good choice to pair with the breadsticks rather than the Caesar dressing like we’ve seen in the past.

One thing that disappointed us was that the dessert options are the same as what you can get at other snack spots nearby. We’ve seen the Snacking Sandwich Cookie and Strawberry Shortcake Verrine on other menus here at Hollywood Studios like Fairfax Fare and Rosie’s All-American Cafe.

So if you’re needing a meal that just serves some basic needs and you happen to be in the area, you can now stop by Catalina Eddie’s to fuel up! And stay tuned because we’ll be covering EVERY restaurant reopening at Disney World.
