It’s officially August in Disney World!
Ah, Orlando summer. It’s hot, it’s muggy, but at least it’s consistent! If you’re headed to Disney World soon, you’ll want to check out the weather for when it comes to packing for your trip. So, let’s take a look at the forecast for next week in Disney World!
Weather Forecast
According to The Weather Channel, get ready for 90ish degree days with chances of rain! Hmm…that sounds familiar.
Yep, just like last week and the weeks prior, we’re looking at a toasty and humid week ahead of us. Say what you want about summer in Disney World, but at least we know what to expect!
August 9th
Monday, August 9th will start the week with temperatures in the high 80s and we are NOT getting used to this heat yet. It doesn’t help that the humidity is up above 70% (and sometimes higher!).
Get ready for an 88 degree high and a 75 degree low. But keep in mind that that high humidity can make the temperature feel around ten degrees higher. So get ready to sweat!
August 10th
The next day, August 10th, hangs out in exactly the same place with a high of 88 degrees and the same low at 75 degrees. There is a little bit lower chance of rain on Tuesday though!
Most summer afternoons in Florida have a chance of rain and this week is no different. We recommend packing a rain layer just in case you get hit with any surprise showers.
August 11th
On Wednesday, August 11th, we’re going to see temps inch up just a little bit more to the 90 degrees during the day and the mid-70s at night. Whew, we can’t say we’re the biggest fans of the weather when it’s THIS hot.
Take a look at that UV Index. You’ll spot Extreme levels for most days in the summer and that can be DANGEROUS. Grab that SPF and lather often!
August 12th
For Thursday, August 12th expect a similar day with a high temperature of 90 degrees and a low temperature of 76. And, wait a minute, what a low rain chance!
Could we have a rainless day? Maybe! There certainly is a chance of a shower on Thursday but we might escape a sudden downpour!
August 13th
This week’s temperatures are pretty consistent as you can tell. Friday we’re seeing another day right at a 90 degree high and a 76 degree low on August 13th.
One bonus about summer is that it means longer days! More daylight for our park day? Yes, please! In August, the sun tends to rise around 6:50AM and set around 8PM.
August 14th
And on to Saturday, we’re seeing another day with (SHOCKER) warm temperatures (but a little bit of a drop back into the high 80s) and isolated afternoon showers and storms. Are you catching a pattern yet?
August 14th has a high of 88 degrees and a low of 76 degrees.
August 15th
Finally, we wrap up the week on August 15th with the coolest high of the whole week (not that that’s saying much) and a pretty standard rain chance.
Remember, Florida weather is VERY changeable. SO keep checking back on that forecast in the days leading up to your trip!
Overview of the Week
Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week. We’re looking at a range of high 80s to low 90s highs and mid 70s lows.
Other websites like Click Orlando News 6…
…and WESH 2 News have similar forecasts throughout the week.
You’ll notice slightly different rain chances across the three sites and these chances might change too. In general, we assume that ANY Orlando summer day could result in a stray shower.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!
Now for some tips to help you weather next week’s weather!
Stay dry!
The one and only reason we want to be soaking wet in Disney World is if we just had a blast on a water ride. If we’re not getting of Splash Mountain, our pants better be dry! Of course, we’re not usually so lucky with those Florida rainstorms.
Make sure you’re ready to weather the storms of a Disney World afternoon (literally). Pack a rain jacket or poncho, wear shoes that will still be comfy when they’re soaked, and remember to ride outdoor must-dos in the morning! It’s a common sight to see attractions close for lightning in the afternoons.

Skip the sunburn!
The heat, humidity, and extreme UV levels of Florida come together to form one uncomfy mix — and they can even be dangerous. You might not be used to walking miles and miles in such adverse weather conditions and you DON’T want to get sick because of it.
If the heat starts to feel like it’s too much, take an air-conditioned break and grab some water. In fact, we recommend drinking water almost CONSISTENTLY throughout your day. Grab a solid SPF to lather up, and you should be able to escape without the burns or any sun sickness!
