Over the past several months, various Disney World hotels have reopened.
Most recently, we’ve seen Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort reopened, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is set to reopen soon. Another hotel that is set to join the “reopened” group soon is Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. But, recently something strange happened to our upcoming reservation at this spot.
At the moment, Disney World’s website still indicates (as it did previously) that Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is set to reopen on September 16th, 2021. Reservations for this spot became available in early July.
A member of our DFB team had a reservation at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort for September 16th through September 17th. But, when they checked on the status of their reservation today (August 25th) the reservation had entirely disappeared from their account!
They didn’t receive a call or email from Disney about this cancellation/disappearance, but when they checked their account the reservation had mysteriously gone missing.
We reached out to Disney via chat, but the Cast Member we spoke to was not aware of any specific situation that might have caused this.
So, we went to the Disney World website to search for available rooms. When we searched for a room for a single night (checking in September 16th and checking out September 17th), no rooms at All-Star Music appeared to be available.
Interestingly though, when we searched for a room at All-Star Music where we’d check in on September 16th and check out on September 18th, the preferred rooms and standard rooms were not available…
…but a family suite was available.
We also checked for longer stays (with a check in date of September 16th and check out date of September 22nd), and rooms did appear to be available…
…including a family suite.
Disney has not yet announced that the opening of All-Star Music will be delayed or otherwise impacted. If your reservation at this Resort has been canceled or impacted, be sure to reach out to Disney for more information. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates on this situation and we’ll let you know what we find.
