Things are constantly changing all around Disney World!
We’re continuously looking to see what’s new at Disney’s theme parks, Disney Springs, and in Disney’s hotels. Today, we’re focusing on the hotels! We’ve got construction updates, a look at new merchandise, a peek at restaurants that have reopened, and much more! Let’s check it all out.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Food Updates
Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village, we stopped by Sanaa Lounge. This lounge might be one of the best-kept foodie secrets in all of Disney World! Can you say BREAD SERVICE?!
When we visited earlier in July, they were not sitting guests at the bar. But, during our recent trip guests were being seated at the bar.
While we were there were grabbed two drinks — the Painted Lemur (Amarula Fruit Cream Liqueur and Van der Hum Tangerine Liqueur from South Africa combined in a Chocolate-striped glass inspired by the distinctive tail of the Madagascar Lemur — $13)…
…and the Kanda Coconut Cooler (A combination of Starr African Rum, Coconut, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Orange Juice — $13).
You can check out these drinks and more during your next visit to this tiny, but great hidden spot!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Merchandise Updates
Over at Johari Treasures, which is also at Kidani Village, we found 2 new items. First, there’s a new Animal Kingdom Lodge bag for $64.99.
The bag has some great pieces attached to the side…
…a Mickey detail in the front…
…and a good amount of space for you to store all of your necessities!
Next, there’s a new Animal Kingdom Lodge Tervis Tumbler for $26.99.
The Tervis is full of designs inspired by the Lodge.
And there’s a new Animal Kingdom Lodge “Jambo” shirt.
The shirt is priced at $34.99.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort General Updates
If you’re planning a stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort (or really any of Disney’s hotels), be sure to look for some activities that might be available for guests to participate in at the hotel!
Recently, we spotted a variety of activities being offered at the Grand Floridian.
These can be a great way to keep the family entertained during a resort day.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Construction Updates
At Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, we found quite a bit of construction going on in various parts of the hotel.
Disney hasn’t formally announced what exactly is being done, but some Cast Members told us they were fairly certain it was just routine maintenance. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates on that. If you’re planning a stay at the Yacht Club, just be aware that this construction is going on.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Food Updates
Recently, 2 spots have reopened at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort — Crews Cup Lounge…
So, if you’ve been hoping to eat at either of these spots, you can now do so!

Disney’s Beach Club Resort Food Updates
At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the Beaches & Cream To-Go Window has reopened!
If you aren’t able to snag a table at the ever-popular Beaches & Cream itself, be sure to check out this to-go window for your ice cream needs!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Over at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Toledo — Tapas, Steak, and Seafood recently reopened!
During our visit, we grabbed a flight of Pinxtos, a charcuterie board, the Chuleton Bone-In Rib-Eye, and The Toledo Tapas Bar Dessert. We’ll be sharing a full review soon, so be on the lookout for that!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort Construction Updates
At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, construction is still underway to update its guest rooms in the main tower to the Incredibles-themed rooms. There’s also construction going on related to The Wave…of American Flavors and the resort’s lobby.
When we visited a number of days ago, the Contemporary Monorail elevator was down and Disney was directing guests to use a bus if they were unable to use the escalators at the Contemporary.
That’s something that may happen to you during a trip, so always be on the lookout for construction signs.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort Merchandise Updates
At Bayview Gifts, one of the gift shops in the Contemporary, we found some newer merchandise including this sweet Bring Kindness hat…
…and the “You Had Me at Walt Disney World” water bottle.
We also found a cute Disney Princess stationery kit at one of the Contemporary’s gift shops.
It could be perfect for those heading back to school and it’s priced at $24.99.
And that’s it for us from Disney’s resorts for now! We’ll keep checking back at the hotels to see what’s new and let you know what we find. Stay tuned for all the latest updates.
