Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT!
And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you! Recently, we’ve gotten the chance to try some new snacks in the park, check out a NEW area for kiddos to play in, and more. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s check out what’s new at EPCOT!
EPCOT Food Updates
Sunshine Seasons
It’s Disney Princess Week in Disney World, and as part of the celebration some new treats have arrived at the parks and hotels! Recently, we made our way over to Sunshine Seasons to try the NEW Sisters Cupcake, which is themed after the fan-favorite Frozen duo, Elsa and Anna!
The strawberry cupcake is filled with strawberry filling and topped with strawberry buttercream in light blue and purple colors to represent both princesses. There are also snowflake sprinkles and a white chocolate crown.
The Sister Cupcake was SO light and fresh with a balance of sweetness and tartness that tied the treat together.
You can find the Sisters Cupcake at Sunshine Seasons for $5.99.

Shimmering Sips
We’ve been keeping a close eye on the POG juice situation in Disney World, as it has been unavailable at several spots where we once used to enjoy it. If you’re not familiar with it, POG Juice (or Jungle Juice as it is sometimes called) is made of a mix of Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava juices and it’s a big fan-favorite.
As we were making our way around the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, a Cast Member let us know that the Shimmering Sips booth has plenty of POG juice, which is utilized in one of their mimosas. The Cast Member said that they expect to have it last for a while, since it is a fan-favorite.
So, if you’re craving POG juice on a sunny Florida day, stop by Shimmering Sips if you’re in EPCOT to see if they’ve got some available in the form of their Tropical Mimosa.

EPCOT Construction Updates
Mexico Pavilion
Previously, there were ropes that winded through the Coco area of the entrance to the Mexico Pavilion to help with crowds and traffic.
However, during a recent visit we noticed that they have been removed, so the area is more open for guests to walk through and look at the exhibit.
Of course, these things are subject to change so you’ll want to be on the lookout for what procedures are in place during your visit.
EPCOT Entertainment Updates
Turtle Talk with Crush
Various forms of entertainment or live shows have started to return to Disney World. Recently, Turtle Talk with Crush reopened in EPCOT over in The Seas with Nemo and Friends!
When we went to the noon showing, it was a bit quiet with a smaller amount of kids sitting in the front of the room and chatting with their aquatic pals…
…while more adults were seated on the benches (likely soaking in those beautiful moments in the air conditioning while also enjoying the show).
During the show, characters like Dory, Marlin, and Destiny made appearances, along with Crush!
If this show was a must-do for you and your little ones, you can now check it out once again during your next visit to the park.
Take a peek inside the newly reopened Turtle Talk with Crush!
Living with the Land
As this week kicked off, one attraction was closed in EPCOT. Living with the Land remained quiet and closed on Monday, the 23rd.
Cast Members out front said that they weren’t sure when it would be operating again, but that it was closed due to mechanical issues for boat safety.
We returned to the attraction a few days after its initial closure and confirmed with that Cast Members that it would remain closed for the 4th day in a row. Since we’ve checked, the ride is still listed as temporarily closed. We’ll keep you updated as to any news regarding this attraction.
Here’s what you need to know about Living with the Land’s closure!
Character Cavalcades
EPCOT’s Princess Promenade have officially ended, folks. But, don’t worry — you can still see the princesses and some other characters around EPCOT! Distanced meet-and-greets have essentially replaced the Princess Promenade. You can make your way around the park to find characters like Jasmine…
…Belle…
…Mary Poppins…
…Alice in Wonderland…
…and more! You’ll be able to say “hello” and take some distanced selfies with these characters at various spots throughout the park, so be sure to keep your eyes open for them!

Princess Tiana Playground
In addition to the treats and new merchandise that got released around the parks for Princess Week, the Princess Tiana Playground also debuted in honor of the event.
The area is themed after Tiana’s homestyle cooking with planters that are made from giant cooking pots…
…signs with the ingredients for Tiana’s famous gumbo going into the pot…
…and games themed to various recipes and ingredients! Kids can plan tic-tac-toe…
…a maze game, and more!
Plus, there’s a jungle gym in the Tiana Playground, so parents can play with their kiddos during their visit to EPCOT!
The next time you’re in EPCOT, you can go ahead and check out this special playground.

EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Norway Pavilion
Over in the Norway Pavilion, we were able to meet the Norwegian fragrance designer Geir Ness at The Fjording this past week!
He told us about all some new items that will be coming to the Disney parks later this year…
…including perfumes, colognes, and even a dog shampoo!
In terms of the dog shampoo, he mentioned how many dogs that come into dog shelters have sensitive skin and need a shampoo that is gentle, so they’ve been working on a dog shampoo for several years that is natural for the pups and is called Woof, Woof, Woof! Some items are set to be offered exclusively in Disney World first before they become available elsewhere. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more updates!
Pin Trading Station
While pins were previously out for limited time periods each day for trading, we noticed that the pins were out for a lot longer recently at the Pin Trading Station near the Pin Traders – Camera Center during our visit.
The Cast Member who was there told us that pins will now be out for essentially the entire day for trading!
Who else is getting their pin lanyards ready?
Mouse Gear
Now that Halloween is (essentially) in full swing in Disney World, spooky merchandise has taken over the parks! Over at Mouse Gear you can find all kinds of Halloween goodies.
During our recent trip, we spotted a number of Halloween-themed treats, apparel, and accessories.
We also spotted the Mickey Pumpkin Light Up Keychain for $14.99…
…and a Mickey Pumpkin Light-Up Glow Lanyard for $17.
There’s quite a bit of Halloween merchandise to pick from in the parks, and more Halloween items are on the way.
Click here to check out some of the Halloween merchandise we’ve seen in the parks!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at EPCOT! We’ll catch you next time for more updates. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney entertainment and news!
