We are loving all the celebrations happening at Disney right now!
We’ve seen the park buzzing with new additions celebrating the 50th Anniversary, seasonal Halloween fun, and more. But now there’s even MORE for you to celebrate in Disney World as a special celebration honoring Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month kicks off!
Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month runs from September 15th through October 15th. Disney has recently shared a look at some of the events, eats, merchandise, and more that will be available throughout Disney World for you to enjoy as part of the celebrations.
Let’s take a look at what is or will be available!
Dining
EPCOT
At EPCOT, you can head to the Mexico pavilion for some special treats. From October 1st through December 31st, San Angel Inn Restaurante will actually be showcasing San Pascual Award-winning chef, Federico A. Lopez.
The menu created by Chef Lopez will represent regional Mexican foods.
While not new to this month’s celebrations, Disney shares that you can also celebrate Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month by grabbing the Chimichurri-up Offense at the Flavors from Fire booth, or the Crispy Pig Ear Salad from The Swanky Saucy Swine during the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.
Hollywood Studios
At Hollywood Studios, you can stop by Fairfax Fare to grab the NEW Columbian Hot Dog.
You can check out our review of this spot’s other hot dogs here.
Animal Kingdom
While not new to this month’s festivities, Disney notes that you celebrate Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month by stopping by Tiffins to get some of the items inspired by the Imagineers’ travels to Oaxaca, Mexico including Sweet Corn Soup and Charred Octopus.
Disney shares that you can also grab Street Corn Tacos at the Smiling Crocodile…
…or churros from Nomad Lounge.
Disney World Resorts
Various Resort hotels in Disney World will be serving up Latin-inspired eats as part of the celebrations. Some of the items you’ll be able to get include:
- Pork Tacos with marinated mango and a Warm Manchego cheese dip at Three Bridges Bay & Grill, located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- Pork Ropa Vieja at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, and
- Shrimp Tacos at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
Disney Springs
Several Disney Springs restaurants will be adding special menu items in celebration of Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month! We already took a peek at the Polite Pigs’ seasonal offerings, but there’s more for you to check out. From October 1st through the 4th you’ll also be able to see the band Latin Ambition perform at The America Gardens Theatre. Also, while not specific to this month’s celebrations, Disney notes that you can stop by the Mexico Folk Art Gallery in the Mexico pavilion to check out the work there as part of the festivities.
Magic Kingdom
While not new to these festivities, you can celebrate this month by saying “hello” to Elena during the “A Royal Princess Processional.”
