Disney World recently announced a new Annual Passholder Program, and now, those passes are on sale!
The new program is significantly different from the old one — there are now only 4 types of Annual Passes available, different blockout dates, and new add-ons. One thing the new program also has is more park pass reservations for some Annual Passholders as well as bonus park pass reservations that don’t count toward your overall total number. As passes went on sale today, bonus reservations became available to current passholders!
The amount of park pass reservations Annual Passholders can have at one time changed as the new system was introduced. Before now, all passholders could only hold up to 3 reservations at a time. Here’s a look at the updated amounts for current passholders:
- Disney Platinum Plus: Up to 5 reservation holds at a time.
- Disney Platinum Pass: Up to 5 reservation holds at a time.
- Disney Gold Pass: Up to 5 reservation holds at a time.
- Disney Silver Pass: Up to 4 reservation holds at a time.
- Disney Theme Park Select Pass: Up to 3 reservation holds at a time.
- Disney Weekday Select Pass: Up to 3 reservation holds at a time.
- Disney EPCOT After 4 Pass: Up to 3 reservation holds at a time.
In addition to the amount of reservations passholders are allotted for their pass level, they also now have access to bonus reservations! According to Disney, bonus reservations are added to the calendar from time to time, allowing you to make extra reservations on select days at select theme parks and don’t count as a reservation hold.
This morning, after Annual Passes went on sale, current passholders now have access to bonus reservations! We noticed there were bonus reservations available for September 11th and September 14th.
These bonus reservations were not available, however, for every park — only select parks. On September 11th, only EPCOT and Hollywood Studios were available to book through bonus reservations. Note that normal park pass reservations for EPCOT for September 11th are currently booked up.
On September 14th, only EPCOT is available to book as a bonus reservation.
Remember, these do NOT count toward your total amount of park pass reservations you can hold at once. So, if you can hold 5 total reservations, you could book these two bonus reservation days and hold 7 park pass reservations at once! We’ll keep you updated on all things Annual Passes, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
