This one is for all you OG Dis-nerds out there. There is nothing like going into your favorite park, hopping on your favorite ride, and being able to quote it word for word (in your head of course). 

With Disney World’s 50th anniversary right around the corner, we got to thinking of all those endlessly quotable lines you encounter in the parks? You know, the ones STILL in your head as you’re leaving for the night? So please sit back, grab your favorite snack that reminds you of Disney and enjoy these phrases that ONLY true Disney Fans would understand.

We are going to start this journey off with where the magic started, in the Magic Kingdom! 

Let’s pretend the Walt Disney World Railroad is running right now because one of the first spiels many guests will encounter when it’s operational is the beloved bellows of “Your attention please—the Walt Disney World Railroad now boarding for a scenic trip around the Magic Kingdom! All abooooooooard!”

We start our journey on everyone’s favorite boat ride, Pirates of the Caribbean. I’m sure you are familiar with, “Yo Ho, Yo Ho A Pirates life for me!”, but there is another phrase true Disney fans are familiar with and it always brings a smile to their faces. “Don’t tell him, Carlos! Don’t be Chee-cken!” 

Between Captain Barbossa firing canons over our head and passing through Redd at the auction, there are few things we DON’T love about Pirates of the Caribbean, but Carlos always starts our adventure off the right way! His bride just keeps shouting for him to not give into the dapper pirates drowning him for info! Stay strong Carlos! DON’T BE CHICKEN!

The next stop on our journey is still in Adventureland. We are taking a hop, skip, and jump over to another boat ride and this time we have a new captain, or should we say, skipper! Jungle Cruise here we come!

While we have now added having The Rock be our skipper, to our bucket list, there is one phrase we all anticipate and definitely won’t take for granite. “Behold the 8th Wonder of the world, the BACKSIDE OF WATER!”

C’mon, it’s iconic for a reason. Gotta love a good Jungle Cruise dad joke!

We are trading out our boat for a train with this next attraction. Get ready for the wildest ride in the wilderness as we get into one of our favorite quotes only Big Thunder Mountain fans will know!

“If any of you folks are wearing hats or glasses, BEST REMOVE EM’!” Most rides will ask you to remove your hats and glasses, but none of them do it quite as emphatically our favorite rootinest tootinest miner! “Cause this here’s the WILDEST RIDE in the WILDERNESS!”

From the wild west to a bone-chilling dilemma. This next phrase, from The Haunted Mansion, is sure to give you hot and cold running chills!

“And consider this dismaying observation- this chamber has no windows…and no doors…which offers you this chilling challenge — to find A WAY OUT!” This was removed from the ride during the pandemic, which definitely made us appreciate it even more! Bonus points for Little Leota stuck in your head, “Hurry baaaack. Be sure to bring your…death certificate. If you decide to join us, make final arrangements now.”

What better way to end our journey in the Magic Kingdom than with fireworks! With the recent news about Happily Ever After playing its final show before the big 50th Anniversary begins, we couldn’t help but think of another fireworks spectacular! WISHES!

“Make a wish and do as dreamers do, and all our wishes will come true.” You can almost hear the voice of Jiminy Cricket talking now. At least now we don’t have to make a mad dash to exit the park! And though we can’t see Wishes in Magic Kingdom anymore, and we’ll soon bid farewell to Happily Ever After, at least we’ll have YouTube videos to reminisce and keeps our quote trivia knowledge alive! (To be fair, we would have just picked kids belting out “WISHEEEEEESS!” That ALWAYS got stuck in our heads!

EPCOT

Our next trip down memory lane brings us to the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, EPCOT!

There is no better way to start than at Spaceship Earth! We are taking a journey through the history of man, well at least up to the creation of the home computer.

Without this next phrase, you wouldn’t even be reading this article! “Remember how easy it was to learn your ABCs? Thank the Phoenicians.” This one has stuck with many fans of Spaceship Earth over time and we hope it sticks around for the updates coming to the ride soon!

Words are great but they are nothing without IMAGINATION! Our next stop is over with our friend Figment at Journey Into Imagination.

“A dream can be, a dream come true, with just that spark in me and you.” While this takes most fans back to the Dreamfinder days it’s still good to get that hit of nostalgia when we hear these popular lyrics!

Ok, prepare for take-off with our next destination. We will be joining our chief flight attendant Patrick and traveling around the world on Soarin’!

There is nothing like buckling your seatbelt and getting the nice old-fashioned feedback of, “Nice work Pal!” paired with a thumbs up. Now that we are buckled up let’s make our way to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Oh yeah, and have a nice flight!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Jambo! Disney’s Animal Kingdom doesn’t have too many home-run phrases like other parks, but a couple easily makes our list!

We start our journey in Pandora on one of the most popular rides at Disney World, Flight of Passage. 

This one makes our list because it is so well known and also well-memed in the Disney community. “Once we do that, you’ll be able to link to that avatar, and, uh, fly.” Yes, this poor fella is permanently nicknamed the “uhh..fly guy!”

We are keeping it strictly scientific on this trip! From otherworldly to pre-historic, our next trip is over to Dinosaur!

If the first words out of your mouth aren’t a loud “HEEEELLO THERE!” from puppet-clad Dr. Seeker, you’re doing the ride wrong.

“THEY’RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!, THEY’RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!…. you made it!” There is nothing quite like getting the pants scared off of you in Dinosaur and then having your lifeline telling you that you won’t make it.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The last stop on our nostalgia-filled journey is going to be Disney’s Hollywood Studios and we can’t wait to show you what we have!

We have to roll out the red carpet to start right?! So why don’t we “make it a stretch…in fact, make it a SUPER stretch!” That’s right Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is first up on the list and who doesn’t love that pre-show with Steven Tyler and Aerosmith?! You’ve gotta get to their concert, right? And thankfully the band manager stepped in with a clutch ride to the show!

Next, we are going to go right across the street and check in to our favorite hotel. That’s right, our next stop is… The Twilight Zone.

“We invite you, if you dare, to step aboard because in tonight’s episode you are the star.” Similar to the Haunted Mansion, this pre-show was missing since the reopening, and now that we have it back we never want it to go away again!

Now that we are all rested from our stay at the Hollywood Tower Hotel, let’s make our way over to Muppet Vision 3D!

Sam Eagle puts on one heck of a finale, “A salute to all nations… but mostly America”, and it is one we will watch over and over again!

For our final destination of this trip, we will be going to a galaxy far, far away. That’s right it’s time to fulfill your childhood dream and pilot the Millenium Falcon!

We waited our entire lives to hear this request spoken to us, “Right pilot, make the jump to lightspeed!” Being the pilot of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy checked off a serious must-do on our bucket list and we think Han would be proud.
