Everything You Need to Know About the New Swan Reserve Hotel in Disney World

There’s a lot of construction going on at the Disney World hotels right now.

Construction at the Swan Reserve

Several lobby updates are happening, some new Moana-themed rooms were recently opened at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort is getting all kinds of updates, and now a brand new Disney World hotel is opening soon. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Swan Reserve, opening soon in Disney World.

First of all, you need to know that the Swan Reserve isn’t really a Disney World hotel. Like the Swan and Dolphin Resorts, it’s actually owned by Marriott.

However, the Swan Reserve enjoys most of the perks that Disney World hotels get and it’s on Disney property, which we’ll describe in more detail here.

Overview

The Swan Reserve was originally supposed to open in July 2021. The opening date has been pushed back several times, and now the hotel is scheduled to open in October of this year. Reservations are open now, so you can book your room ASAP to stay here!

Swan Reserve

You’ll find the Swan Reserve close to the Swan and Dolphin Hotels. All of these hotels are within walking distance of EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which also means you’ll also get great views of the fireworks from both parks in the evening at Swan Reserve (depending on where your room is).

Being so close to two Disney parks is a great advantage when things get busy in October for the 50th Anniversary Celebrations. EPCOT is going to be in high demand at that time, with a new restaurant and ride opening on October 1st, so being able to walk to the park is a huge perk.

Walkway to EPCOT

The Swan Reserve is a boutique hotel, meaning there are also restaurants and shops inside. The cost for staying at this hotel in October ranges from $870 a night to $930. But once November hits, the cost goes WAY down. You’ll be able to book rooms for $530–$560 per night from November into late 2022 (getting as low as $512), with select nights having higher prices of up to $1,500.

Perks

Like the Swan and Dolphin Hotels, the Swan Reserve gets most of the perks that Disney World hotels have. This includes free Disney transportation with buses and walking paths and Early Theme Park Entry when that begins on October 1st.

Good Morning from Magic Kingdom!

In addition, the Swan Reserve qualifies for Extended Evening Hours, which is only offered to Disney World Deluxe Hotels and a few other hotels. With this perk, guests can stay in select Disney World Theme Parks for an extra two hours after closing time on select days.

EPCOT at night

At the Swan Reserve, you’ll find lots of great amenities (which we’ll cover in the next section), but Swan Reserve guests can also take advantage of the pools, restaurants, and spa at the Swan and Dolphin Hotels close by. This includes 18 restaurants and lounges, 5 pools, 4 signature restaurants, the Mandara Spa, and more.

Rooms and Amenities

Now let’s look at the hotel itself, including the guest rooms and amenities.

Guest Rooms

The Swan Reserve has over 300 guest rooms in its 14 stories. There are also 149 suites and 2 presidential suites in this hotel.

Each guest room has floor-to-ceiling windows, which look perfect for late-night firework viewing.

Let’s leave the rooms now to peek at the amenities that will be available around the Swan Reserve.

Amenities

Earlier we mentioned some of the amenities at this boutique hotel. So far we know there will be a signature Mediterranean-style restaurant and bar…

On the top floor of the Swan Reserve will be a beautiful event space called the Vue. And people can actually get married here as well!

This space also has floor-to-ceiling windows with views looking down on the Swan and Dolphin hotels, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. There’s 22,000 square feet of space here, so it’s got plenty of room for your celebration!

Besides the rooftop location, two other ballrooms are available for events like weddings or galas.
