We’re so excited that Club Cool is finally BACK in EPCOT!
The old Club Cool closed in 2019 as part of EPCOT’s massive ongoing transformation. Now, Imagineers have brought back a revitalized version of the fan-favorite spot! We stopped by Club Cool today to check out the new decor and sodas, and now we’re bringing you a look at what’s DIFFERENT about this new location.
It’s obvious that the look and decor of Club Cool have changed quite a bit!
The entrance is much more modern and features the Club Cool marquee in the EPCOT World Bold font. As Imagineer Zach Riddley shared, the façade of Club Cool is “inspired by classic green-hued glass Coca-Cola bottles” and you’ll even find the Coca-Cola logo incorporated into the design itself.
The interior looks more modern as well and features some cool details down to the flooring! The setup of the room is different than it was in its former location, now with merchandise displays on one side and Coca-Cola stations along the wall on the other. The registers are in the back.
The way that you get your soda here is also slightly different. Previously, there were several soda machines and guests could walk between the various stations. Now, with new health and safety measures, the process has changed.
Now, there are 6 different soda stations along the wall and only one party is allowed at each at a time. The maximum occupancy of the store itself is 62 people.
When it comes to mask rules, remember that masks are currently required for all guests ages 2 and older in all indoor locations, including restaurants except when actively eating or drinking while stationary.
That means, when you go to grab a soda at the revitalized Club Cool, you will need to be wearing your mask. Guests are able to remove their masks, however, once they are at a designated area, are stationary, and are actively drinking.
And it’s not just the health and safety measures — the sodas themselves have changed as well! Here’s what they used to offer at the old location:
Now, your options are Bonbon Anglais from Madagascar, Country Club from the Dominican Republic, Minute Maid Joy from Korea, Royal Watermelon from the Philippines, Smart Sour Plum from China, and Viva from Moldova. But don’t worry, the ever-popular Beverly from Italy is also back!
When sampling, you’ll still be able to pick up a disposable cup and drink your fill!
BUT, there’s one big difference about this Club Cool location…the floors aren’t sticky! The famously sticky floors of the old Club Cool were one of the things we loved to hate, and only time will tell if gallons of spilled soda will permanently alter the new floors.
And that’s a first look at what’s different in EPCOT’s new version of Club Cool. Keep following DFB for more information about this updated experience!
