Space 220 finally opened today in Disney World!
We’ve been waiting for this EPCOT restaurant for YEARS and we finally got to go inside and have a meal! We traveled up that space elevator, into the dining area, and saw that beautiful view of the Earth and the stars for the first time. We also noticed some cool details floating around. So, we’re telling you what hidden details to look out for at Space 220!
First, a Cast Member gave us a heads up before getting on the space elevator that we should be on the lookout for some surprises up in space!

Once we arrived, we made sure to keep an eye on those windows to see what we could find! And, we saw SO many cool things, like the X-2 Deep Space Shuttle from Mission: SPACE!
We also spotted this awesome astronaut SURFING through space! Or maybe they’re on a snowboard? Either way, totally rad!

Next, we saw this dude just bouncing through space, chillin above Earth!
The astronaut even turned to give a thumbs up to these little kids (be still, our hearts!).
We also saw what looks like a little astronaut family float by!
Then, we saw these two space people moving what looks to be a big part of the station…
…followed by this other astronaut carrying another piece. Uh, we thought construction was DONE on Space 220, Disney?!
We also saw these two, which appear to be a kid sitting on their parent’s shoulders — how cute!
There then was a spotting of a pretty rare pair — an astronaut and an astronaut DOG!! They go by really quick, so you gotta keep your eyes peeled. That’s also why they’re moving in our picture!
And, we found a hidden Mickey!! Because no new Disney attraction, restaurant, or…really anything, is complete without a hidden Mickey!
Finally, we saw maybe the most epic thing of all: A LIGHTSABER DUEL!!
Yep, two astronauts were having a lightsaber duel just outside our window.
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate how AWESOME this is to see while you’re eating at a restaurant!
It looks like a Jedi and a Sith are at it again. Could it be Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi? Perhaps! We have been in the restaurant for a big chunk of the day and have only spotted this scene twice. So it’s pretty rare!
Besides looking out the windows, we noticed another fun detail in the bathroom. This sign — which is a BIT terrifying, to say the least (but also, funny).
