PHOTOS: New “Lightning Lane” Signs Have Appeared in EPCOT

A new system is taking over FastPass+ in Disney World soon — Disney Genie+!

The system is part of the new Disney Genie program that will be in the My Disney Experience app. Genie is free, but you have to pay $15 per day, per ticket to use Genie+. The paid system lets you make reservations to use the new Lighting Lanes at rides around Disney World, which will allow you to skip the majority of the stand-by lines like FastPass+ did! We just saw a few Lightning Lane signs go up in Magic Kingdom, and now, we’ve found some in EPCOT!

In The Land pavilion at EPCOT, we went to check in on Living with the Land, as it’s been closed for well over a week now. While there, we saw that a new Lightning Lane sign has been installed where the old FastPass+ sign was before!

Hello, new sign!

The ride still isn’t open, but this new sign does give us hope that it might open soon!

We’re patiently waiting for you to return, Living with the Land!

We then went over to look at Soarin’, and it has a new sign, too!

The ride is not using this new lane right now, as the Genie+ system hasn’t launched yet!

We don’t know the official launch date of Disney Genie yet, but it will be sometime this fall. Over 40 rides will fall under the Genie+ system, but there will be some high demand attractions not included that you can pay to use the Lightning Lane for individually. We’ll let you know when we find more Lightning Lane signs around Disney World, so stay tuned!
