Yesterday we saw the vintage Disney collection of our dreams, the Vault Collection, debut in Disney Springs.

Main Street Cinema

As Disney World continues to prepare for the 50th anniversary, we’re seeing more spots reopen ahead of the debut of the 18-month long celebration. After temporarily closing, today the Main Street Cinema reopened with a new vintage look, so come along with us to take a look inside!

Outside the Main Street Cinema, there are new “now showing” posters with vintage Disney World photos.

Inside the building, you’ll find two mannequins dressed in peak old-school Disney clothes.

The bucket hat! The fringed vest! The vintage Mickey t-shirt! Even Orange Bird looks excited about it.

There is lots of Vault Collection decor, like these banners hanging over the main doorway.

When you step inside, you might wonder for a second if you’ve been transported in time.

So much to see!

Mr. Toad greets guests as they enter…

Did we walk into a time machine

…and he’s holding the deed for Toad Hall, which welcomes guests to the Vault Collection.

The ceiling is decorated with a kind of wallpaper or collage made from old Disney World tickets! We like MagicBands, but sometimes we really miss those old-school paper tickets.

Can we please buy this Disney ticket wallpaper?

There are also vintage Disney World tickets hanging from the ceiling as streamers!

The merchandise is basically the same things we saw in Disney Springs, with this display featuring an old photo of Mr. Toad

…and this display has a very old photo of Mickey Mouse!

We did spot a few new items we didn’t see yesterday, like this soft lunchbox (that looks a lot like the plastic lunch boxes we had as kids) for $70! On one side is a classic image of Mickey, Donald, and Pluto at Disney World…

…and the other side has the Country Bears from the Country Bear Jamboree!

And this matching classic card wallet is $16.99, and it looks like the old thermoses that came with our plastic lunchboxes.

It has the same images as the soft lunchbox with a little “handle” on the side.

And while you’re in like to check out, look behind the counter to watch footage of Magic Kingdom from 1971.

There’s even a show!

If you’re into vintage Disney items, you’ll LOVE what Main Street Cinema has been transformed into. Keep checking back with DFB as we cover everything happening in Disney World for the 50th anniversary celebration!
