REVIEW: Visit FIVE Restaurants in ONE Night At This Special Dining Experience Near Disney World!

We hope you’re hungry! Orlando has practically hundreds of incredible fine dining options to choose from, like Citricos and Victoria and Alberts, which are both located at Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort. The Bonnet Creek Epicurious dining experience costs $235 per person (which doesn’t include tax or gratuity) and lasts for about four hours. This curated culinary journey includes a knowledgeable culinary guide and takes guests to five different restaurants located throughout the resorts.

Let’s get started!

The event runs on Fridays and Saturdays from September 24 to November 20 at 5:30PM and 6:30PM. Reservations are required so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time!

La Luce

Our first stop was outside of La Luce where we grabbed our first drink. At this location, we tried the Villa Sandi Prosecco Rosé.

This drink was sweet, light, and delicate — it was the perfect way to start the evening! If you tend to prefer lighter drinks that aren’t as strong as a dry wine, you’ll probably enjoy this rose!

Then, it was time to enter the restaurant! Along with sourdough bread with garlic olive oil, we tried the Movia Pinot Grigio from Solvenia which complemented the bread very well. It had a slightly oaky flavor and had a silky feel to it. This was another great choice for the beginning of the night since it was not too heavy and paired well with the food!

After a nice refreshing drink, it was time to eat! At La Luce, we tried some Speck Wrapped Figs, which were made with gorgonzola, arugula, aged balsamic, and crostini. The balsamic dressing is house-made and was very delicious! We even dipped some of our sourdough bread in it. This is a unique dish that not all people may like, but we’d recommend trying it if you are an adventurous eater. Both figs were cooked evenly throughout, it was super easy to cut, and there was a subtle sea salt taste to it.

La Luce also served us some Gnocchi Verde, with came with decadent ricotta, spinach, wild mushroom, and truffle oil. If you’re a fan of Gnocchi, this dish is for you! It had a nice fluffy texture and we thought the ricotta was the perfect addition. We did notice a lot of mushrooms, so that’s something to keep in mind if you aren’t a fan.

Just like that, we were onto the next spot!

Zeta Asia

Our next stop was Zeta Asia, where we were given a selection of incredible Asian dishes. To drink, we had the Bravium Chardonnay. It was very rich and fruity, but paired nicely with the heavier meal at this restaurant.

We especially loved the Steamed Bao bun with Peking Duck — the plum sauce went quite nicely with the duck. There are also pickles on the bun which just enhanced the flavors of the duck and plum sauce. The pickled vegetables were a bit spicy, but had great flavor.

Our Spider Roll was filled with crispy soft-shell crab, avocado, cucumber, and masago. We tasted a light balsamic flavor but it was not overpowering or harsh-tasting at all!

The dish came with three rolls, making it the perfect size to share if you’re snacking around!

Vibe Kitchen Food Truck

From there, it was time to embrace the vibes, or should we say the Vibe Kitchen Food Truck! We started with a Bonnet Creek Vacay IPA, which was surprisingly sweet! Even if you aren’t a huge fan of beer, you might like this drink.

Next, we were served a plate of Anticucho di Pollo, Causa de Cangrejo, and Choclo con Queso. The Anticucho di Pollo (made with free-range chicken thighs, confit marble potatoes, choclo, chalaca, aji amarillo crema, and grilled bread) was full of seasoning and grilled to perfection.

Additionally, the Causa de Cangrejo consisted of pressed potatoes, colossal crab, salsa verde, avocado, pushed eggs, and micro cilantro. Seafood lovers will like this one and the potatoes very soft.

To finish off the plate, the Choclo con Queso (made with Peruvian corn, queso fresco, ocopa sauce, Peruvian peppers, and marble potatoes) included some amazing flavors that paired quite well with the rest of the foods! We recommend getting a  bite of all three entrees at the same time.

The fourth stop on our tour was Sir Harry’s Peacock Alley Mixology. The bartender will prepare one of three drinks for you depending on your preference between vodka, gin, or bourbon.

We chose the drink made with Gin, and it did not disappoint! It was made with Barhill Gin, Violette Liqueur, lemon, simple syrup, and mint.

Not only was it delicious, but it’s gorgeous!

Bull & Bear

The final stop on the food tour was at the famous Bull & Bear Restaurant. We began with a Shafer Cabernet which was a very rich red wine with a slight smokey flavor. This was one of our favorite drinks we had all night!

We were served a Short Rib Wellington with local swiss chard, roasted cippolini, morel, and sauce Perigueux. This was possibly one of the best rib wellingtons we had ever tried! The outer biscuit was nice and fluffy and had plenty of sliced rib filling. Our only small complaint was that we wished there were a few more vegetables on the side!

We couldn’t leave without a dessert! Bull & Bear provided a Lychee Mousse with raspberry sable, raspberry jam, and fresh raspberries. The dessert was topped with berry marshmallow and raspberry and rose-scented sorbet! You guys — we thought this was AMAZING!! Each little raspberry was hand-stuffed with mousse, and it was so sweet.

At the end, we were sent home with a bag of assorted chocolate.

We truly enjoyed our experience at the Bonnet Creek Epicurious dining experience! Although it is a very pricey event at $235 per person (not including tax or gratuity), we think it is totally worth the price for the amount of food, the quality of food, and the length of the experience. If you’re looking for a unique date night or want to visit all of the Waldorf Astoria’s best restaurants, we highly recommend making a reservation.
