The BIG Perk That Comes With Staying at the NEW Swan Reserve Hotel in Disney World

Disney recently announced that a new system was coming to Disney World called Disney Genie.

This system includes three different parts: the Genie, Genie+, and Pay-Per-Ride. Disney Genie is a free addition to the Disney World app that can help you plan your day and more in Disney World. Genie+ and Pay-Per-Ride are both paid ways to get onto rides and attractions without waiting in line. So what does this have to do with the new Swan Reserve hotel? We’re here to tell ya.

Guests can buy Genie+ for $15 per ticket, per day. This allows you to reserve your spot at most Disney World rides during your vacation. Some of the rides included in the Genie+ are Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Genie+ will include over 40 rides and attractions in Disney World.

Haunted Mansion

If guests buy Genie+, they can make reservations for their first ride starting at 7AM on the day of their visit. Guests get unlimited reservations throughout the day, but you can only make one at a time. So if you reserve one ride, you’ll have to wait until that reservation passes before you can make the next one.

Individual Attraction Selection, or pay-per-ride, is how you can skip the line at the most popular rides. A couple of select rides in each Disney World park are not available with Genie+. If you want to skip the lines at these rides (like Rise of the Resistance and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure), you can buy a pass through pay-per-ride. These tickets are purchased separately, and the cost for each one will vary depending on the time of year and demand for the ride.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Most guests can buy these separate pay-per-ride tickets starting when the park opens, so if EPCOT opens at 11AM, guests can buy a pass for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at 11AM. But if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can start making these reservations at 7AM instead, regardless of when the park opens. That gives the Disney World hotel guests a head start on getting passes to the most popular rides in the parks.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Now we’re back at wondering: what does this have to do with the new Swan Reserve hotel? Technically the Swan Reserve — like the Swan and Dolphin hotels — isn’t owned by Disney. But all three of these hotels (the Swan Reserve, the Swan, and the Dolphin) get most of the same perks that Disney World hotels get. This includes the early reservation time for the pay-per-ride system.

Swan Reserve

So if you’re going to stay at the Swan Reserve when it opens in October 2021, you will be able to make reservations for popular rides (through the pay-per-ride system) starting at 7AM instead of when the park opens.

Swan Reserve

In addition to that benefit, guests at the Swan Reserve also enjoy many other Disney World hotel perks like free Disney transportation and Early Theme Park Entry when it officially begins on October 1st (It is soft opening even earlier.)
With Early Theme Park Entry, all Disney World hotel guests (and guests at the Swan and Dolphin and Swan Reserve) will be able to enter the theme parks a half-hour before the official opening time.

Good Morning from Magic Kingdom!

Guests staying at the Swan Reserve ALSO get to enjoy the Extended Evening Hours, which allows them to stay a couple of hours past closing time in select Disney World theme parks on certain days. This perk is only available to guests staying at Deluxe Disney World Resorts, but the Swan Reserve is included on the list of qualifying hotels.

EPCOT

Just what is this magical new hotel that gives you so many perks? The Swan Reserve is a new Mariott-owned hotel that’s opening in Disney World in October 2021, according to their website. It’s located near the existing Swan and Dolphin hotels, close to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Reservations are open now for the Swan Reserve, so you can book your spot ASAP. Although it’s not Disney-themed, we think all of the added perks, plus the proximity to two Disney parks make it a great choice for your next Disney World hotel. The only problem we’re seeing with it right now is that it just won’t open! The opening date has been delayed a couple of times, so we’re crossing our fingers that the October opening sticks.
