Get ready to celebrate 50 years of Disney World!

All around the park, we’re hunting down the new golden Disney character statues, which appeared today. But that wasn’t the only change we saw in the Magic Kingdom — some construction walls around a big project on Main Street have finally come down!

The Main Street Confectionery has been closed for a while now due to renovations happening inside. There have been construction walls up around the sweet shop for a while now…

…but this morning we saw that the walls are down!

No more walls!

There are no more construction walls around the confectionery, but it’s still not open for guests yet.

There are signs on the window pointing guests to the Main Street Cinema to find the Confectionery’s treats there.

We checked the Disney World refurbishments calendar, and the Confectionery is still listed as being under construction through mid-November at least. Of course, this can change at any time.

Still not open yet!

We’ll keep our eyes peeled and our fingers crossed, just in case it opens a little earlier than planned! Keep following DFB, and we’ll let you know about all the Disney World news.
