Next week marks the official transition from summer to fall in Disney World!

Magic Kingdom

If you’re packing for your Disney trip next week, then you’re going to want to know what kind of weather you should expect. Well, we’re here to help! We’ve got a FULL weather update for Disney World next week — and all the tips you need to brave the days.

Weather Forecast

According to The Weather Channel, this week is going to bring us some heat and some rain. Sound familiar?

EPCOT

Yep! That forecast is pretty darn similar to last week’s. But when EXACTLY can you expect the rain? Let’s take a look!

September 20th

Monday, September 20th will start the week with pretty HOT temperatures — BUT, it seems the whole week will stay out of the 90s! That day is going to max out at an 88-degree high and we’ll see 75 degrees at night.

You’ll notice the temperatures this week are pretty stable again. Luckily that’s been the norm over the past few weeks. Don’t expect to see too many differences from day to day! We appreciate a predictable forecast because it makes it easier to pack.

September 21st

The next day, September 21st brings us a VERY similar forecast (shocker) with a high of 87 degrees during the day and keeping that low down at a comfy and warm 75 degrees.

You might see some scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon this week. In fact, the chance of rain is, in general, slightly higher this week than it was last week.

September 22nd

On Wednesday, September 22nd, we’re going to see temps sit in about the same place again. So, we’ll be seeing mid-80s heat at the hottest part of the day. Your low is gonna stay at 75 degrees again.

Note that it looks like we’re going to see some more scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and into the evening. Make sure you have a rain layer prepped so that you can stay dry!

September 23rd

For Thursday, September 23rd, we’re seeing a day with another consistent prediction of temperatures in the mid to high-80s and a beautiful evening at 74 degrees.

You’ve got some thunderstorms in the afternoon here as well, but the evening looks more clear. When there’s scattered rain in the forecast, it’s best to be prepared. Sometimes, you might end up getting off without rain, but you’ll want to be ready just in case!

September 24th

The week continues with similar temperatures in the day and in the nighttime on September 24th.

Wow! Compared to some of the days we’ve seen in past week, that high almost sounds downright cool!

September 25th

Saturday, September 25th brings us more warm temps up in the mid-80s. Keep in mind that we’re not seeing AS MANY extreme UV days as last week but several of the days still have extreme levels.

That means you’ve GOT to wear that sunscreen! Here, we’ll see an 86-degree high and a 73-degree low.

September 26th

And we’ll wrap up our week on September 26th with still warm temperatures and a beautiful day of mixed sunshine and clouds.

The weather is a bit more fickle this week and that means it’s more important to be prepared!

Overview of the Week

Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week again. We’re looking at a range of 80s highs and 70s lows.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!

So, what are our best tips for packing when it comes to this week’s forecast?

Protect yourself from the sun!

What’s the best way to say goodbye to summer? To do a good job protecting your skin of course! The high UV levels, sunshiney days, and toasty temperatures can be a LOT to deal with if you’re not used to it.

Mickey Sunglasses

Stay hydrated, wear lots of sunscreen, and be sure to wear sunglasses too (gotta protect those eyes!). If you need to take a break and find some shade or AC, make sure you do that! Better to be safe than sorry. Don’t forget you can snag free ice water at most quick service locations!

Prep for rain!

Get ready for a little bit of rain this week too! It looks like we’ll see some sudden storms and that could mean a downpour out of nowhere. It might be a good idea to keep a poncho or rain layer handy any day!

Storm Clouds

Also, note that a lot of the rain in the forecast is STORMS. Lightning and heavy rain can sometimes close outdoor attractions. It might be wise to knock those outdoor must-dos (Splash Mountain, Test Track, etc.) out earlier in the day.
