Remember back when Disney was hosting its most recent quarterly earnings call, and CEO Bob Chapek announced this somewhat mysterious event called “Disney+ Day,” which celebrates the two-year anniversary of Disney+?
Well, we just learned a LOT about what we can expect to be included in this event, which will take place on November 12th!
Disney announced a full lineup of programming, streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting on November 12th. Take a look at just some of the titles coming to the streaming service:
Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be available for FREE starting on November 12th. Right now, the film is only showing at movie theaters and is NOT available for streaming on Disney+. But that will change this November!
As we previously shared, Disney’s Jungle Cruise will also be available on Disney+ to all subscribers at no additional cost starting on November 12th. The film is currently available to stream via Premier Access.
Remember that part in Frozen 2 when Olaf did that amazing retelling of the plot from the FIRST Frozen film? Well, it looks like he’s getting ready to retell MORE plots from our favorite Disney films with Olaf Presents, a new series of original shorts! The series will also arrive to Disney+ on November 12th.
It looks like we’ll also get first looks at upcoming projects from both Star Wars as well as Marvel! Will we get a sneak peek at season 3 of The Mandalorian or The Book of Boba Fett?
Fans can also look forward to the following titles and projects coming to Disney+ on November 12th:
- The domestic Disney+ streaming debut of fan favorite shorts from Walt Disney Animation Studios including Frozen Fever, Oscar-winning shorts Feast and Paperman, Oscar-nominated Mickey Mouse short Get A Horse! and more
- An animated short film Ciao Alberto from Pixar, featuring characters from this summer’s animated hit breakout film Luca
- A new short from The Simpsons that pays tribute to Disney+’s marquee brands
- The first five episodes from season two of The World According to Jeff Goldblum from National Geographic
- A special celebrating the origins and legacy of Star Wars’ legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett
- A special celebrating the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+ with an exciting look towards the future
- Dopesick, an original series starring Michael Keaton, which will be released in international markets as part of the Star general entertainment content offering
Yes, you read that correctly…season 2 of The World According to Jeff Goldblum will arrive on November 12th!
Be sure to mark your calendars on November 12th for the arrival of ALL of these exciting titles on Disney+! Disney also hinted that even MORE “exciting content premieres, consumer offers, and news will be announced leading up to Disney+ Day,” so we’ll keep our eyes peeled for additional announcements in the coming weeks and months leading up to Disney+ Day!
