Disney World has plenty of fun hotels to choose from for your vacation.
From the rustic vibes at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to the modern decor at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, there’s a hotel to fit almost any occasion or preference. We’re heading to several of the Disney hotels to see if they’ve got anything new going on with food, construction, or merchandise!
We’re going to start our tour at the hotels near Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom Area Resorts
First, we went to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and checked on the menus around the resort.
Wilderness Lodge Food Update
At the Roaring Fork — a counter-service location inside this hotel — they had some specialty lattes on the menu.
We decided to try a S’more‘s Latte, which wasn’t a new drink (since we’ve seen it before in the Territory Lounge), but it sounded like just the right coffee for the end of summer. The drink was really tasty, with a strong marshmallow flavor, but it wasn’t too sweet.
You can get it for $4.99 now!

We took our latte out to the lobby, where they had a fire going in the fireplace.
Could there be a more classic summer activity than s’mores by the fire? Even if it is a s’mores latte…we think it still counts. After our drink, we headed out to the Geyser Point Bar & Grill To Go window to get some lunch!
This spot is a counter-service restaurant right next to Geyser Point Bar & Grill, and it’s really easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. We headed back because we haven’t been since it reopened, and we were not disappointed!
We got the Smoked Turkey Sandwich (basically Thanksgiving on a sandwich), Crispy Salmon Croquettes, Campfire Mousse, a Chocolate Strawberry Pie (seasonal), and Apple Cider Sorbet with Berries. You can check out our full review here!

Then we headed over to the Contemporary Resort to see if there were any updates there.
Contemporary Resort Merchandise Update
Our first stop was the Bay View Gifts store!
Inside, we found a selection of 50th Anniversary merchandise, including the 50th Spirit Jersey and some t-shirts.
You can get most of the new 50th Anniversary-themed items online now!

We also saw a display with a lot of Halloween merchandise, including a wreath, apron, mini backpacks, and more!
We’re seeing tons of cute Halloween items around Disney World lately!
Contemporary Resort Construction Update
There was still plenty of construction going on at the Contemporary Resort, with tarps covering the walls. Updates are coming to the guest rooms in the form of a new Incredibles theme!
We also saw more construction happening just outside some exit doors.
If you’re staying at the Contemporary soon, just remember the check-in and concierge services are on the second floor now due to construction in the lobby area.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Merchandise Update
We hopped on the Monorail and headed to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to check out new things there! Our first stop was Basin White, where we often find cute soaps and lotions.
Sure enough, we found a bunch of Halloween-themed soaps, like the Pumpkin Spice Latte soap, a Mickey Halloween Soap, and a Remember Me Soap with a Coco theme!
There were also a couple of Jack-O-Lantern soaps!
We stopped by Curiouser Clothiers, where we found this cute Grand Floridian ornament for $29.99.
We spotted this earlier in the week as well, and it matches other ornaments we’ve found for more hotels on property!
Back out in the lobby, we said hello to Pluto, who was greeting the guests!
Our last stop was the Gasparilla Island Grill to check out any new food there!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Food Update
We found three new Hocus Pocus-themed cupcakes!
The trio had hairstyles to match the Sanderson Sisters from the movie!

Leaving the Monorail resorts, we hopped on the Skyliner to check out the resorts along its path.
Skyliner Resorts
First up was Disney’s Pop Century Resort.

At Petals Pool Bar out by the pool area, the Pop’s Potion drink has returned!
We had this drink last year, and it’s made with coconut rum, Midori, pineapple juice, orange juice, Sprite, and Blue Curacao.

Next on the list of Skyliner resorts is Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Disney’s Riviera Resort Food Update
We found a new drink at Bar Riva in the Riviera Resort — the Mediterranean Margarita!
We thought the hint of pear flavor took this drink to a whole other level.

We decided to check on a couple of other resorts on our tour as well!
Other Disney World Resorts
First, let’s stop into Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort.
All-Star Movies Construction Update
In the lobby, there was construction going on by the check-in area.
Guests can still check in there like normal — there are just fewer desks available at the moment.
And at Donald’s Double Feature, there was more Halloween merchandise, like a cute “Oh my gourd” t-shirt and Halloween Mickey and Minnie plushes!
Our last stop on this tour is Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, which just reopened about a week ago!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Construction Update
We saw some construction flags on a balcony here, so it looks like the hotel is getting a few updates.
We also stopped by the reopened Zawadi Marketplace, which has merchandise unique to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
That wraps up our tour around the Disney World hotels! Keep following DFB for more updates as you plan your Disney World vacation.
