You may have read lots of books about the Disney rides and you may know the ins and outs of hidden Mickeys in the parks, but there’s a lot more that Disney’s history can teach you.

As Disney World gets ready to celebrate its 50th Anniversary, the company has put together several new offerings including new fireworks shows, new merchandise, and more. Now, another NEW item has arrived for the 50th anniversary and it’ll basically turn you into a certified Disney expert!

Earlier today, Disney announced a brand new virtual offering from the Disney Institute. The new online program is called 50 Years of Magical Learnings from Walt Disney World Resort. This is an on-demand course where participants will get to choose their own learning adventure.

Essentially, you’ll get to navigate Disney World through an interactive map and learn all kinds of lessons, take virtual peeks behind the scenes, check out cool videos, get exclusive downloads, and participate in interactive activities.

In the course, you’ll hear from Cast Members, executives, Imagineers, and operations leaders. They’ll share their knowledge and experience about bringing Walt’s vision to life, and other important lessons about leadership, tradition, training, and more. You’ll also get a look at backstage areas like the Disney University, which is where Cast Members go through their first day of training.

The course will also discuss things like how to craft a vision for the future and leave a leadership legacy, innovate customer experiences, and more.

The course will show the “method behind the magic,” giving you a close look at the process Disney has created to enable their Cast Members to give great guest service.

The course even comes with its own commemorative certificate (so you’ll totally be able to say you’re a “certified” Disney expert right?!). Get a sneak peek at the course by watching the video below!

The first of the 20 lessons in this course will debut on October 1st. More content will then be added over the following months. In total, there will be over 50 lessons to explore and you’ll get 1 full year of on-demand access to the course. The nice thing is that the course is something you can do at your own pace — starting and stopping whenever you want.

Disney shares that it is the “most comprehensive online-learning experience Disney Institute has ever created” and it was designed with Disney’s most “curious and passionate” fans in mind.

Registration for the course is now open, but the course isn’t exactly cheap. The introductory pricing is set at $399 ($359 if you’re a student or teacher, or fall under other specific groups).

Whether you’re a business professional and looking to add some Disney-style magic to your workplace, or you’re just a MASSIVE Disney fan and curious to know much more about the company’s practices and what it takes to make the dream a reality, this could be an interesting course for you.
