This past week, we visited one of our favorite Walt Disney World parks, EPCOT, to experience a few of its classic attractions and explore some of the latest happenings. During our day, we discovered three new updates to the park: the recently opened Creations Shop, the return of Club Cool, and 50th anniversary statues! Follow along as we make our rounds and check out everything new that this park has to offer.
CREATIONS SHOP
Creations Shop is the new flagship gift shop at EPCOT – formerly the location of Mouse Gear. Upon entering, we immediately liked how the design of the store gives off an open, bright, and airy feel. Plenty of never-before-seen EPCOT merchandise can be found here, including t-shirts, windbreakers, and even leggings with modern geometric designs and neon colors. One of our favorite accessories was the Spaceship Earth Minnie Ears, which conveniently comes with its own USB cord for recharging! Other Spaceship Earth-themed souvenirs include bags, cups, jewelry, hats, home decor, and puzzles. The colorful murals and retro design of the entire venue made for an enjoyable and nostalgic shopping experience.
CLUB COOL
The excitement for the reopening of Club Cool was real – we were told the line to get in was about a 45 minute wait! Due to this, we decided we’d return another day to experience this fan-favorite attraction. Club Cool is an exhibit (and shop) sponsored by Coca-Cola where you can enjoy free samples of sodas from around the world. Some of these unique flavors are beloved and revered by fans – others, however, have earned quite the reputation for their “interesting” taste, such as the infamous Beverly. Full-sized sodas and floats are available for purchase here, but the most popular aspect of this venue are the numerous fountains that offer free samples. The is the first time guests can experience Club Cool since its temporary closure back in 2019. Judging by the crowds, people are thrilled to see it return!
50TH ANNIVERSARY STATUES
In celebration of 50 years of Disney magic, each Walt Disney World park is undergoing a sparkling transformation and receiving a special array of commemorative decor. As part of the celebratory additions, 50 unique gold statues of Disney characters will be spread across all four parks. We stumbled across a few of these statues in EPCOT’s World Showcase! Here, we found golden representations of Figment, Miguel, Dante, Rocket and Groot, Pua and Hei Hei, and Olaf and Bruni! These statues were slightly larger than we expected them to be, and included pedestals painted in Disney’s signature EARidescent shade. We enjoyed spotting these new additions to the park, and we’re excited to find the rest of them on our future Disney visits!
