6 Attractions That’ll Be CLOSED In Disney World This November

Heading to Disney World soon?

Magic Kingdom

You’ll want to make sure you’re prepared for any of the closures that are happening inside the parks or resorts. Whether for construction, updates, or other changes, Disney World will occasionally close different attractions and other things around the parks. We’re looking around at all the refurbishments going on to see what rides and hotels will NOT be available in November.

Let’s start out by looking at the rides and attractions on this list.

Disney World Attractions That Are Closed In November

This coming month, every Disney World park has at least one attraction that’ll be closed for some (if not all) of November.

Magic Kingdom

In the Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s PhilharMagic is currently closed as Imagineers add a new scene inspired by Disney’s Coco to the attraction.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is closed right now

The Disneyland version of PhilharMagic already got this new scene, so you can see a sneak peek here:

The Disney World version of this attraction will reopen with the new scene on November 12th of this year. So if you’re heading down soon, you might be able to catch it!

One attraction that is likely not reopening anytime soon is the Walt Disney World Railroad.

Fantasyland Train Station

The railroad has been closed for a while now because of construction on the TRON Lightcycle Run ride over in Tomorrowland that interfered with the tracks.

TRON construction

We don’t have an opening date for TRON yet, which means we don’t know when construction will end. But we’re expecting the construction to continue (and the WDW Railroad to remain closed) through the end of this year at least.

Fantasyland Station

In the meantime, you can head to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a chill train ride in the parks that takes you up to Rafiki’s Planet Watch.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom may have a train ride right now (unlike the Magic Kingdom), but a popular attraction is closing for a long refurbishment starting November 1st.

Kali River Rapids

Kali River Rapids will be closed for all of November, and through the rest of this year, too.

The water ride will reopen on January 1st, 2022. As far as we know, the closure is for routine maintenance and refurbishments.

EPCOT

EPCOT has two attractions that will be closed for at least part of November as well. In the Morocco pavilion, the Souk-al-Magreb gift shop is currently closed.

Souk-al-Magreb is closed

But we’ve got good news here — the gift shop is scheduled to reopen on November 6th, which is coming up soon.

It’ll open this month!

The Canada Far and Wide film attraction (located in — you guessed it — the Canada pavilion) is still closed…

Canada Far and Wide

…since the space is being used to house the Appleseed Orchard booth for the International Food & Wine Festival this year.

The festival is going to end on November 20th, and we previously saw opening times for Canada Far and Wide on the following day, November 21st.

Recently, however, we checked again and saw that no times are showing. So the attraction may reopen when the festival ends, but we can’t say for sure yet. Disney hasn’t announced its reopening date as of writing.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular has been closed in Hollywood Studios since Disney World reopened last year.

It’s coming back!!

But its closure is coming to an end soon! This attraction got a reopening date of December 19th, 2021.

So it’ll still be closed for all of November, but we’re getting closer to seeing the stunt show again soon.

That covers it for the attractions that’ll be closed in November, but what about the hotels around Disney World?

Disney World Hotels That Are Closed In November

Now that Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter Resort has reopened, only one hotel remains completely closed in Disney World: Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.

All-Star Sports Entrance

This hotel was supposed to reopen in December of this year, but Disney announced that its return would be delayed due to more refurbishments.

All-Star Sports

They did not give a reopening date, though, so All-Star Sports is closed indefinitely for now.

Another Disney World hotel that recently reopened is Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside Resort.

While we were there, we learned that the Boatwright’s Dining Hall did not reopen with the resort. When we asked a Cast Member about it, they informed us that the restaurant will probably open sometime in December.

So if you’re heading to Riverside soon, check out one of the other restaurants at the hotel, or you can even head to Port Orleans – French Quarter for more food options.

Earlier this year, Disney announced that they were going to transform one building of Grand Floridian hotel rooms into Disney Vacation Club Villas. The Big Pine Key (building 9) building will become 200 Resort Studios, which are going to open in the summer of 2022.

We got a first look at what some of these DVC villas will look like, and it seems like they’ll be quite luxurious.

Some renovations and changes will begin at the Grand Floridian for these rooms starting in November, and they won’t be finished until the summer of next year.
