It’s that time again!

We’re looking at what is going to be CLOSED in Disney World next week, including rides, attractions, and shops in the parks as well as hotels on Disney World property. Let’s see what’s NOT going to be available so that you’re prepared before your Disney trip.

Our most serious offender for closed attractions this week is the Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom Closures

If you’re heading into the Magic Kingdom, don’t plan on riding the Walt Disney World Railroad or visiting Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Both of these attractions are going to be closed for all of next week.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is closed right now as Imagineers add the new scene inspired by Disney’s Coco.

The scene will feature the song “Un Poco Loco” from the movie. We can’t wait to see it when the attraction reopens!

You’ll be able to head in to this attraction starting November 12th, 2021.

The Walt Disney World Railroad is closed for a less fun reason: construction over in Tomorrowland interrupted the train tracks, so the train can’t run right now. Yes, the train has been closed for officially 7 billion days straight now. We miss it too.

The construction is in preparation for the new TRON Lightcycle Run roller coaster that’s coming to the park, although we don’t have an opening date for that ride yet. Though TRON IS starting to look more and more like a completed ride each day.

The Railroad doesn’t have a reopening date either, so we assume it won’t be back until TRON is complete.

EPCOT Closures

EPCOT only has one closure for next week: the Souk-al-Magreb gift shop located in the Morocco pavilion of World Showcase.

This gift shop has unique items inspired by Morocco, and we miss going in to see the gorgeous, colorful merchandise.

Souk-al-Magreb is scheduled to reopen on November 6th, 2021.

Disney World Hotel Closures

Good news here: Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort has officially reopened in Disney World!

Along with the resort itself, most of the dining available here has also reopened.

The only restaurant not reopening with Riverside is the Boatwright’s Dining Hall, which a Cast Member told us is going to open sometime in December.

Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Resort is scheduled to reopen on October 28th of this year, and they are accepting reservations now.

Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is still closed as well, but we don’t have a reopening date for this hotel yet. It was supposed to open in December, but Disney said it will remain closed indefinitely due to more refurbishments taking place on the hotel.

Finally, there are a couple of lobby construction projects going on in some hotels. Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is getting some updates to their lobby, but the construction shouldn’t interrupt your check-in too much. There are still open front desks in the lobby, which you can use to check in and find concierge services.

At Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, lobby construction is scheduled to last through late October. There will be Cast Members and signs to direct you to temporary check-in spots, or you can use the My Disney Experience app on your smartphone to check in and then head straight to your room.
