In Florida, Disney World has been slowly returning to “normal” with modified character meet and greets and an optional outdoor mask policy. Importantly, though, safety is at the heart of all of Disney’s decisions, which is why Disney suspended entry into one of its theme parks on Halloween.
Disney released a statement regarding the temporary change.
Shanghai Disney suspended entry into their parks on October 31st, 2021.
Disney released a statement on the Shanghai Disney website. In part, the statement reads, “To cooperate with the pandemic investigation in other provinces and cities, we have temporarily suspended entry into Shanghai Disneyland and Disneytown, and some attractions inside the park will also temporarily stop operating. Outdoor entertainment will continue as scheduled.”
Guests will be given the opportunity to request a refund or ticket exchange due to the closure, and those who stay are being asked to comply with all pandemic prevention measures. Further, Shanghai Disney Guests will be required to undergo nucleic acid testing at the exit of the resort, and follow Centre for Disease Control guidance. We’ll keep an eye out for any updates to the situation, so stay tuned for more information.
