Disney World has so. many. new treats in the parks and hotels to celebrate the 50th Anniversary.

Are our stomachs starting to ache from trying all the new sweets? Maybe a little. But are we going to give up? Never. We’re not quitters. We’re heading into the parks to try a 50th anniversary take on one of our favorite Animal Kingdom deserts.

The 50th Celebration Ice Cream Sandwich is the new take on the ice cream sammie here! It’s Vanilla Ice Cream sandwiched between two House-Made Double Chocolate Chip Cookies, dunked in glittery Celebration Sprinkles and topped with a 50th Anniversary Medallion.

Do you think they could’ve fit any more sugar into this treat?? The sprinkles-covered sandwich didn’t really come as a surprise to us, though. We’ve seen LOTS of delicious, sprinkles-covered, themed ice cream sandwiches at this snack spot, including ones for Valentines Day, Fall, St. Patrick’s Day, and more!

Although we’ve tried tons of these, they have yet to disappoint us. And this one is no exception: We thought the balance between chocolate and vanilla was ~perfect~ in this treat.

We’re major chocolate lovers over here, so the double chocolate chip cookies were a big win for us. And the sprinkles all over them made it extra special (and sweet!). If you don’t like chocolate that much, you might want to try a different treat (like maybe the Dole Whip cupcake we found earlier?).
