Halloweentime has begun at Disneyland!

There are fan-favorite characters dressed in their spookiest looks, Oogie Boogie Bash is going on, and there are all kinds of tasty treats available. Now, we’ve found a very special Halloween snack that is essentially a dessert churro hot dog without a true hot dog in it?!

Craftsman Grill at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa typically offers a unique hot dog each month. This month’s hot dog has a unique Halloween twist. Introducing the Trick or Treat Dog!

This month’s “dog” is all treats and no tricks according to Disneyland! The “dog” is made of a classic churro that is wrapped up in a crisp shell and “mummified” with marshmallow goodness. The churro hot dog is then served with bacon bits and strawberry sauce.

Yes, you read that right — this is essentially a churro hot dog where instead of a traditional beef or other meat-based “dog” there is a CHURRO that has been wrapped in a crisp shell. Why are churro hot “dogs” not more of a thing?!

Of course, we had to grab this unique creation to try it for ourselves, and there was a LOT going on. We loved the churro wrapped in the cinnamon crisp and the marshmallow on top, but the strawberry sauce added too much sweetness and the bacon bits were an unnecessary added flavor. We probably wouldn’t get it again.
