Thanksgiving, Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours, and the end of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival — those are just some of the things that will be taking place in Disney World in November!
If you’re planning a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth in November, you’ll want to buy your park tickets, schedule your Park Passes, and book your hotel. And, if you’re planning on flying to Disney World, you’ll need to buy those airplane tickets. Just how much will it cost you to fly to Disney World in November? We’re breaking it all down right here.
Our Method
Just like the version of this post we did for September flights and October flights, we won’t be looking at every single airport in the U.S. for purposes of this article. Instead, we’ll be looking only at some of the bigger airports in the United States. For this post, we’ll be looking specifically at what it would cost to fly from each of those bigger airports to Orlando International Airport on various airlines in November.
We checked the airline prices for flights departing on November 18th (Thursday) and returning on November 22nd (Monday). The cost for flights of this weekend contained some more expensive dates and some cheaper dates based on the results we saw on GoogleFlights for a trip from New York to Orlando in November. It is near Thanksgiving, but not during that peak travel week.
Dates in early November were much less expensive, however, and dates near Thanksgiving were much MORE expensive. So just keep in mind that those dates can greatly affect travel prices.
This entire post is based on information we found through Google Flights when we checked, but prices can very greatly over time.
Also, just as we’ve mentioned before, each airline (and various tickets within each airline) will have its own pros and cons or specific benefits and drawbacks. One airline’s tickets may be more expensive, but they may come with more benefits like the ability to pick your seat on the plane or the ability to bring a carry-on bag. Others might be cheaper but may not have those same benefits. Picking the right ticket and airline will all depend on what is best for you.
Additionally, keep in mind that what we’re sharing here are the base ticket prices. These costs don’t include any additional taxes or fees that you may have to pay for if you do ultimately purchase a ticket to fly to Orlando.
The way we’ve calculated these average prices is by looking at the least expensive combination of flights for each airline from each airport. So, for each airline, we’ve looked at the least expensive departing flight from the airport to Orlando, and the least expensive return flight from Orlando to the airport on that airline.
Those flights may be at inconvenient times, include many stops, etc. You may want or need to book a different set of flights that include a cheaper departing option coupled with a more expensive returning option, just to make sure you get what’s most convenient. In other words, these are averages and estimates, but your actual costs will vary.
For the Southwest flights, we strictly looked at the “Wanna Get Away” ticket options for the dates we searched. For all other airlines, we used the Google Flight search tool. Keep in mind that flights could be more or less expensive when you go to book them on the actual airline’s website (as opposed to the prices you see on Google Flights).
Additionally, we tried to limit our flights to ones that arrive on the same day as they depart, so that impacted our estimates at the time. Note that all of these ticket prices are just for 1 person.
Alright, with all of that information out of the way, let’s break down the average costs to fly to Orlando in November.
