With Disney World’s 50th Anniversary going on right now, there’s been a lot of talk about Disney parks history.

If you’ve ever wondered about the creation of Disney’s first park, Disneyland, then we’ve got some great news for you!
David Gordon Green, known for the upcoming horror movie Halloween Kills, will be directing a new film about the creation of Disneyland, according to Deadline. Yep, you read that right. The guy who’s currently in the news for making the latest Michael Myers horror slasher film is moving on to much more…magical pastures.
His past directing accolades include the previous Halloween film from 2018 and a bunch of episodes of various HBO Danny McBride shows, and Pineapple Express. So…not quite the demographic Disney is usually tapping into 
, but ya never know what will come out in the wash! 
The new movie will follow Walt Disney’s journey from film studios executive to theme park maestro!

The untitled film will premiere on Disney+ on an unknown date. There are a lot of details that are yet unknown, but we DO know that this doc will be written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, who previously wrote the live-action Beauty and the Beast, as well as Snow White and the Huntsman.
