VIDEO: We Paid $10 to Watch Mickey Mouse Vanish in Our Drink at Disney World

It’s a rather busy day at Disney World! Do you think there’s some sort of celebration happening?

Of course, today is the day we’ve been waiting for — it’s the 50th Anniversary! We’ve been all over Disney World this week checking out all of the 50th Anniversary offerings around the parks and resort and eating as many EARidescent treats as humanly possible. And now we’re trying one of the drinks that we’ve been most excited about!

Say hello to the EARidescent Sip-A-Bration! It’s a non-alcoholic Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and Strawberry Fruit Punch served in a plastic souvenir cup for $10. That’s a bit of a steep price tag for lemonade, but let’s see if it’s worth it for the souvenir cup.

You can find it at lounges and table service restaurants all around Disney World; we got ours at breakfast over at Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. So what’s special about this drink? Well, it comes with a fun surprise!

With each beverage that you purchase, you get a Disney character to go along with it. Characters include Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Donald! What a cute little garnish!

These characters aren’t just decorative — they serve a specific function, too. When you drop the character into your drink, it makes the color change! Mickey turns the drink red, Minnie turns the drink blue, Pluto turns the drink yellow, and Donald turns the drink green!

Okay, we’ll admit that it may be a bit shocking to see us dunk Mickey Mouse into our lemonade. But was it tasty? Well, we found this drink to be a really fun menu addition! We didn’t get much of the Strawberry Fruit Punch flavor once the character was stirred in; we really just tasted lemonade! Still, this is an awesome drink that kids and adults would enjoy, and the characters add a bit of shimmer and sweetness overall.

All four characters!

At $10, however, this lemonade is rivaling the price of many alcoholic beverages in Disney World. While it may be on the high end of the price scale, it’s a fun way to add a little celebration (ahem, Sip-a-Bration) to your beverage! And you get to keep the cup, which makes the $10 not seem so steep!

That’s all for now, but stay tuned because we’ll be trying more treats all around Disney World! We’ve got you covered with all the new offerings!
